Initial thoughts on Tircambry's history. Plenty more to add; discussion welcome.

I have always worked on the basis that Tircambry is a monarchy but I think there are far too many monarchies in OGF so I'm going to ditch this one and have a parliamentary republic.

Date Event(s)
> 1000 BCE Celtic peoples occupy large areas in northwest Uletha including the Brethan peninsula.
Alternatively, perhaps the Brethan peninsula is settled later by Ingerish Britons fleeing from Gaermanic/Kalmic invaders, similar to RW Brittany
c.0 CE Gaermanic peoples (ancesters of Kalm, Lentia) sweep into the area. Celtic culture disappears except in the peripheries such as the Brethan peninsula.
> 1000 CE Brethanic Celts coalecse into five kingdoms : Calenwy(?), Dyllewin(?), Rhysiog, UL10-98, UL10-99.

[I am working on the basis that the old inhabitants of UL10-98 and 99 will be Brethonic (RW Brythonic) Celts, like the Welsh, Cornish and Bretons (and Tircambry), rather than RW Goidelic Celts (Irish, Scottish Gaelic, Manx), but I don't know whether admins have other ideas!]

c.1300s Ingerland invades Brethan peninsula (why?), succeeds in conquering 98 & 99, but the eastern kingdoms successfully resist.
1400s A dynastic marriage results in the union of Dyllenwin and Calenwy to form Morionys(?). Frequent conflicts between Rhysiog and Morionys.
1600s New Ingerish attempts at conquest (why?) result in Morionys and Rhysiog forming a loose confederation under the joint leadership of the two kings (the Double Monarchy - need a better name for this).
1700s Dynastic marriage and assasination lead to a union of the crowns. Confederal government largely supplants state ones.
1810 State institutions formally abolished and the Tircambry Confederation becomes the Kingdom of Tircambry.
1930s After years of social disruption and a period of parliamentary deadlock, the King appoints a fascist prime minister who rules for over twenty years.
1950s The liberal heir to the throne is displaced in the order of succession by his fascist-leaning younger brother. This fuels renewed civil conflict. The brother succeeds to the throne but after the death of the dominant fascist leader democratic forces succeed in ousting the government and restoring the rightful heir to the throne.
1960s Since the king has no children and other members of his family are mostly anti-democratic, the constitution is altered to establish a republic at the end of the present reign.
1972 The king dies and the republic is established (Gweriniaeth Tircambry).
