Hsml (derived from Halske superconducting magnetic levitation) is a transport system that uses magnetic levitation to move vehicles without making contact with the ground. A vehicle travels along a guideway using magnets to create both lift and propulsion to reduce friction by a great extent and allowing very high speeds.
At the moment this section about the history is a stub and will be expanded hopefully soon. All Mergany-related articles will be edited and expanded by the corresponding territory's owner. If you have any ideas about it, feel free to participate and edit this section. However, please respect other people's previous work - if you want to change already-developed ideas, contact the author. A stub is an article that, although sometimes providing more or less useful information, is too short to provide OGF encyclopedic coverage of a subject, and that is capable of expansion. Also non-article pages, such as disambiguation pages, lists, categories, templates, talk pages, and redirects, can be regarded as stubs. Due to the lack of time, some stub articles have little verifiable information, but its subject has an apparent notability. So let me conclude, this section will be expanded soon.
Yabern test facility
The Yabern test facility is a testing site for Hsml trains in Yabern, Mergany. The single track line is around 30 km long and forms a loop. The track is elevated for almost its entire length to allow continued farming and grazing of the land occupied. Beside tests the trains often carries paying passengers. They regularly ran at up to 500 km/h. All runs, including those with passengers, are fully monitored. Construction of the facility began in 1976 and was completed in 1979.
Operating Hsml systems
The Central line was the first commercially operated Hsml line to open in history. It is the fastest commercial high-speed electric train in the world. The train line was designed to connect major cities in Mergany in the north-south-direction and later on Viljanni. It has been built in several stages and is in total xxx km long.
