Pasalia, officially the Constitutional Monarchy of the Kingdom of Pasalia, is a federal parliamentary Monarchy in South-eastern Antarephia. Its capital and largest city is Pasaliapolis, whose metropolitan area is inhabited by 2.4 million of the country's 16.7 million people. Pasalia has a high HDI and is home to many technological advances. It is commonly known for its strong nostalgia for the post-war era, its high share of nuclear power production and often disrespect against nature. Pasalia shares borders with Roliqia, Shadze-Ma, Aiau and Samuelonia. It is allied with most of the countries that share its values, although in general has no direct enemies that are considered serious.

First Human Settlement
The first traces of Human civilisation date back to 345AD. Several local tribes set up camps in the northern part of the country. Remains of this can still be found. All things dating from this area are to be reported to the local government. Destruction or taking of artefacts are punishable by severe fines.

Kingdom of Pasalia
The last thing the ingerish governor did in office was to seize all power to Robert, King of Pasalia, then Prince Robert, Duke of Eastton from Montran, as they both knew each other and he just happened to be there at that moment. To everyones surprise he was greeted friendly and promised peace and economic recovery. The Montranian royal family was informed only a couple days later and in turn banned him from entering ever again. In 1847 he married Mary Johnson, Daughter of Peter Johnson the founder of Johnsons Pharmaceuticals. After a time of ignoring, Montran and Pasalia, and its respective royal families grew a strong economic and cultural bond and continue to do so.
During the 1980s Pasalia became split between people supporting the usual way and people supporting more liberal policies. Luckily compromises were able to be made. Possibly the most famous result of this is the Free Electricity Act of 1984, which enabled even more industrial growth, much to the anger of the liberals who additionally supported more environmental protection.
Starting in the 1990s widespread civil liberty changes were made. This included the legalisation of LGBT-marriage, the end of all laws that encourage discrimination against other ethnicities and similar changes. This hasnt been without controversy as a large share of Pasalians tend to have a conservative view on many things.
Own Culture, foreign Influence Policies
Pasalia has a relativly stable weather with warm summers and cold but not freezing winters.
TO BE EDITED SOON, SIGNIFICANT CHANGES POSSIBLE
Pasalia is located at the coast of the Asperic Ocean in the middle of Antherephia. The two countries in Proximity are Aiau to the south, and (Shadze-Ma) . Pasalia is beeing crossed by the Pasal Mountain Range. The Majority of the population lives at the North-East Tip of the country and along the coast down to the Border with Ileysika. Much of the Area of Pasalia consists of Woodland. Pasalia also has several islands off its coast. These are Falkeninsel, James Island, Devils Rock, Daniel's Island, Little Ingerland, Ellieland, Martin's Island There are also a number of so called PAAs Protected Autonomous Areas, which grant its inhabitants special self-governing rights, like the usage of another language as official language and to write own laws, aslong as they dont violate the Constitution or Human Rights.

The majority of Pasalians are white descendants of Ingerish immigrants, with minorities of other nations and the surviving native population.(As of 31/12/2014) Historically the population has been very homogenous due to historic laws such as the highly controversial and in 1963 abolished Pure Population Act of 1849 which after decades of protest from both the majority of Pasalians and the international community and threaths of Trade embargos was abolished by a 81% in favor of abolition Vote and agreement by congress. After the lift of this unconstitutional and out-dated law the immigration rate rose by 24%. Under the newly arrived immigrants were also people like Ahmed Kim Smith, the first person to transplate a frozen heart and Paul Lee Dee first black winner of the Pasalia Motion Picture Awards.
Even after the wide spread civil rights movement and liberation, a sense of racism or discrimination is still felt by many people who argue that especially older people are still using racist slang towards them. Pasalia's education is focusing on teaching students the values and importance of society and working together and to make ethnicity a side issue. The deep roots of this problem came to the surface again in 1972 when a group of ( possible right-wing oriented political party ) fanatics beat up a group of (xy-ian) exchange students on a bus in Metroville. Following wide-spread protests occured in all major cities and 3 day-long 7pm-7am curfew was installed until police partially forcefully split up protestors of both sides. Nethertheless white Pasalians are still considered the true pasalians, according to public opinion. This is especially hurtful in the opionion of the small remaining native population.

Anti-Communism in Pasalia
Gun Politics in Pasalia Guns and weapons in general are a controversial topic in Pasalian politics. It is defined by two different parties, pro gun owners and ant gun owners. Gun ownership in Pasalia is quite high compared to international average.
Pasalia still offers the death penalty, although only after the suspect is convicted guilty, the jury approves, and only then the judges can discuss a death penalty. The following is a list of crimes that are allowed to be punished with it, the number of people that were sentenced with it since 1846. In cursive are the crimes that can only be punished with death if the victim, or victims relatives want it.
- Attempted or accomplished assasination on a politician, 4
- Bank robbery that results in severely injured victims, and only if more than 5000PSD were stolen, 22
- Severe Assault that results in someone dying, 35
- Robbery with usage of firearms, 24
- Intentionally killing somebody, 67
- Brutal rape , 51
- Rape of persons under 18, 46
- Torture of a person, 7
- Killing a foreign civilian in Pasalia during times of war, 6
The death penalty has been under severe critiscm, both domestic and internationally. Critic points are often that there is a chance of of innocent people being wrongfully prosecuted and that black people are likely to be accused and prosecuted for crimes. Incidents like the 1895 Hill Brooks Jail Torture, the Devils Rock Incident and the 1995 Execution of Chris Davis have altered public view of the death penalty.
Pasalia has a long history of Immigration. It is the sole base of the countries existence and therefore a largely discussed topic in Policies. Citizenship can be achieved in many ways. The most common currently is by birth if one of the parents are Pasalian Citizen already. The second-common way of gaining it, is by immigration. The following procedure is for people who are outside of Pasalia: People wanting to be become naturalized need to contact the Pasalia Department of Immigration, Integration and Assimilation. Then during a period of up to 12 months it is checked if the person has any criminal backgrounds. After everything is checked a Permit of Arriving with the Intention of Immigration Permit is sent to them. This allows for a arrival on Pasalia Soil within 3 months after receiving the notification. After arriving several more checks are conducted. If passed, they will be given another permit, the Trusted Settlers Permit. 12 months after that, just another test needs to be done, where people have to prove their language skills, their efforts of integrating into society and such. If also passed, finally they need to show up in person at their local city hall, where they receive their Pasalia ID Card which proves their legal status as citizen of the Kingdom of Pasalia. If the people seeking citizenship have any children under 18, they also automatically become citizens of Pasalia if they are moving with their parents.
Refugee status is only granted to people coming from countries specified by the Assembly of Nations as unstable, and/or can legitimately prove they are being under life threat because of their religion or infriction of human rights. The number of Refugees coming to Pasalia is limited to 15000/year, although this number hasnt been hit in years. Once documented in Pasalia they are allowed to stay until the condition in their country has improved to Democratic standards. If staying more than 4 years they are granted some more rights like voting up to State level. After more than 5 years they able to go through the legal immigration procedure like anyone else.
Energy and Environmental Care
Environment is considered important in Pasalia. Still there are many unsolved issues like the ever-increasing air pollution caused by growing automobile traffic.
Pasalia's Debt is PSD 35.679 Billion as of January 1, 2016. It has increased steadily since the late 1970s and the reckless spending of government under the administration of Andrew Garfield. Current prime minister Lisa Marshall has set the goal to not exceed a debt a debt of 36 billion at the end of her office. Most foreign debt is owed to the World Bank (?), with smaller loans taken from other nations. It has been noted that due to Pasalia focusing on huge infrastructure and social projects it becomes increasingly difficult to fund things.
Foreign Relations of Pasalia
- Pasalia-Casp. Union
Pasalia and Freedemia are trading partners, with Pasalia having a exporting deficit with them. Pasalia has been influenced with Freedemian culture after the war and typical foods like burgers are now considered standard foods in Pasalia. Imported from Freedemia are Aluminium (96% of Pasalian Aluminium needs are met with this), Nickel, High-Tech products and Rice. Exported to it are Timber, automobile parts and Salt.
Montran is one of the closest friends Pasalia has, politically speaking. The royal family of Pasalia came from Montran. This has caused both countries to share a lot of Cultural rituals and significantly shaped their behaviour. Today both countries trade a variety of goods with eachother. About 12000 Montranians (?) live in Pasalia, about 9000 Pasalians live in Montran.
- Pasalia-Republic of Ileysika
Pasalia and Shadze-Ma have a long history of diplomatic and economic relations. With both countries being established at around the same time, they share a common history and interests. However, differences in the languages and culture they inherited from their colonial predecessors are some of the defining aspects of their national identities. Today Shadze-Ma maintains a consulate in Pasaliapolis. Imports to Shadze-Ma consist mainly of alcoholic beverages - wines, cognac and fortified wine - fruits, iron ore and specialist machinery. Exported to Shadze-Ma are heavy machinery, automobiles (especially motorcycles), wheat and construction materials. Around 2000 Shadze-Ma citizens live in Pasalia, around 300 Pasalians in Shadze-Ma. Because of the decentralised nature of the political structure in Shadze-Ma there have been minor disputes about maritime borders; these are in the process of being settled through diplomacy. More countries to be added

Energy in Pasalia Pasalia's Electricity net operates at 230v/50hz. Power is produced in following shares of resources: Nuclear 87%, Hydropower 9.8%, Wind Power 2.2%, Biomass 0.7%, Solar Power 0.3%
Electricity itself is free since January 1, 1981 with only a small basic service fee having to be paid. This was introduced because it was realised that energy was so cheap to be produced by the late 70s and the economic benefits would be immense. This has also lead to an drastically increased energy consumption with an average person using over 5,200 kW/h a year. In the recent years complaints have come up by several protesting groups that this is way too much and will lead to an society thats unable to live without external help by technological means and gadgets.
The only major company, having a monopoly on electricity, is the Pasalia National Electricity Co. with the government holding 52% of its stocks. Due to the low cost of producing it can run on a surplus budget even without any major sources of income.
Water is generated by dams or by simple ground water wells. Just like electricity, water itself is free with only the service fee having to be paid.
