1469 the merchant and adventurer Piita Wrark from Beltgau stay in Lorredion and at this occasion he discovered the area east of Lorredion - now the Republic of Zylanda. He see a fertile land with many rivers and dense wood and only few hunting indigene people. Back in northwestern Uletha he found a lot of followers and 1477 the first settlers founded the town of Fock in the western part of the new land. On the next years more and more settlers follow. 1487 at the first time this settlers meet at a meadow near Aaby to a "thing" - the birth of the nation "Zylanda".
Zylanda was from 1487 a "colony" of people of mostly "northwestern ulethian" style with a choosen "Thing" (parliament). The word "colony" in the sense of Zylanda means, that here people are sailed to a new land - but there they made theyr own society, not under control of any "motherland". So seen they were free people in some free towns or landscapes (named "rings") of farmers. Most of them are from Beltgau in the western Kalm or around there. This people occupied the valleys til the watershed of the land. Only at Wesfelt they meet the earlyer frenkish soeaking settlers from Lorredion - now the province of Haute-Enclave of Lorredion.
In this time there are no state of Zylanda, but only independen greater towns as Hooptstad, Aaby, Sydstad or Nørdhobn and so called "Landrings" (landscapes) as Wesfelt, Plattland, Øsfelt, Odderndool, Slybeland and some other. Sometimes the one or other had a "feid" (feud) with his neigbours. Only at special events and otherwise all 5 years the "Allthing" for all towns and landscapes come together near Aaby. So it was easy for the troops of the later kings, to conquer the zylandrian communities one after the other.
1524 Dr. Mattn Klodda was one of the man, who reformed the catholic religion after the words of the evangelium and this reform has its feedback in Kalm and otherwise. In Zylanda most people become evangelic, but to stay at the old form of the religion was allowed.
Kingdom of Zylanda
* 1655 - 1698 Gerald I Bretigny (born 1614)
1645 Gerald Bretigny came as an lorredian diplomat for the Asperic Company to Elegantia. Here he see, hoew easy a land as Zylanda can be taken over. In 1655 in the struggle of the lorredian war of independence Gerald Bretigny and his soldiers came and made the land with violence to the Kingdom of Zylanda. In Elegantia, Superbia (now Rensenbrink) and in Charity he build his palaces and the language of the upper class then was changed to frenkish. 1661 his troop too go to Haute-Enclave and take over this province, formerly a part of Lorredion.
The Bretegny-dynastie was catholic, but not very religious. At first 1659 King Gerald I ban the burning of witches as "barbaric" and all kings had no problem with the fact, that most the people in the land are lutherians. He gave to the land administrative structure in provinces and communes and establish a central government in Elegantia, formerly named Hooptstad. His son Humbert acted as his right hand. After 1680 most of the work was done from his son and the king only has the last word. King Gerald I died 1695 in the age of 81 years.
* 1698 - 1722 Humbert, son of king Gerald I (born 1650)
King Humbert gives 1700 jews equal rights - exactly said, to people of all religions. So in Zylanda the religious live gets more folkloristic as fundamental. Grosso mondo he continued the work of his father. 1720 he start a war against Dandria in the south, but with few success. As 1730 his son king Gerald II made peace with Dandria, only the town of Rumpgaard stay to Zylandya as exclave at the coastline.
* 1722 - 1739 Gerald II, son of king Humbert (born 1676)
Not ever the kings are able, to set her power over the whole land. But til 1868 they hold her place more or less. As Gerald II was crowned to the king of Zylanda, 46 years old, he was the first king of Zylanda, which call together the "Allthing" to get more money. So he opened the box for the opposition and he lost the provinces Wesfelt, Øsfelt and Nørd for a short living independent republic named "Folkssog Zylanda". Til 1731 his troops try to get the victory and at last he must see, that he was not able to win back the northernmost part of the land. In Charity the "Folkssog Zylanda" established 1731 an independent state in the province Nørd. King Gerald II died - 63 years old - with his sons Humbert and Guilleaume in a battle against the republicanian troops near Gupys at a new try, to get back the northern province.
* 1739 - 1747 Charles, nephew of king Gerald II and grandson of king Humbert (born 1701)
Charles Bretigny again try to conquer the lost northern province. 1741 he can win the battle of Reebrygg and can take over the northern province again. This was the end of the first republic in Zylanda. His reign was more violent as at the kings before and a lot of regional riots are slayed down with many blood. To earn more money for his expensive buildings in Elegantia he rise the taxes. The men of the opposition go to jail or are beheaded and the king took houses, land and money of this families in hos own treasurity. King Charles 1747 was killed by riots in Elegantia and the palace are burned down.
* 1747 - 1767 Gerald III, son of king Charles, named "Isenhand" (Ironhand) (born 1725)
At first the young king makes himself dirty hands for to stay at the top of the state. In the new proscriptions of 1748 the families of the man of the resistance lost house and land, go in prison or are killed. Over the land lay the smoke of death.
To make a better immage, Gerald III 1752 conquered the Greunalfdool after the eastern water-shed of Zylanda, in that time named "Transmonte" and build the strong fort of Bretigny, now named Keunichsborch (kings burgh). After 1756, as his reign was strongly established, he was more liberal and try to get more acceptance of the people. Therefore he give a lot of money for art and education. Since 1761 all children in Zylanda has go to school for 6 years. This schools are stately, not observed from the churches. 1767 he died - only 42 years old - by an hunting-accident.
* 1767 - 1803 Phillip I, son of king Gerald III (born 1752)
Gerald III son Phillip I try to make a policy of adjustement. Only 15 years old as he becomes king, he was a marionette of men in the background. Named from the folk as "Doofääg" (means "weak egg"), his meanings and his actions had no clear line. This zig-zag politicy was not better as the king grow older.
Meanwhile from 1767 and later catholic refugees from Kalm arrive in Zylanda to escape the struggle of the War of 9 years in that land. After 1776, at the end of this war, at the other hand evangelic settlers go back to Kalm invited by the government, to take over the since the war ophantened farms there. So the part of the catholic people in Zylanda grow and King Phillip I try to take an advantage of this fact. But the reaction of his silly tacting leads to a high level of unsatisfaction. After the end of his reign nearly two years a civil war paralysed the land. The one party will have with his young son Guilleaume as a better king and the other a republic with the sentence: "Not again a king only 18 years old"
* 1803 - 1804 civil war, (nominal Guilleaume I, first son of king Phillip I - born 1785)
The death of king Phillip I 1803 gives the overhand for the republic, but a republic can be established only in Elegantia, Aaby, the Platland and some nearer regions. In other parts of the land the follower of "king" Guilleaume are the winner of the struggles, but king Guilleaume was not the leader in the dreams of the royalists. King Guilleaume I then resignised 1804 for his brother Phillip II. Guilleaume died 1809 after short illness, only 24 years old. People think, that the reason of his death was poision give to king Guilleaume from the party of the later King Phillip II - but nobody knows this exactly.
* 1804 - 1831 Phillip II, second son of king Phillip I and brother of king Guilleaume (I) (born 1788)
The young Phillip II can establish again the reign of the kings in the year 1804 after the battle of Fiif Wejn. He then give the land a constitution (with many rights for the king and few for the people) and a code civil and code poenal. Phillip II lost nothing from his royal power, but he was one of the better kings because the supremacy of the law in his reign. So he could hold his reign too 1824 after the independence of the colonies of Latina and New Holland, where the republican circles had in the focus.
* 1831 - 1844 Guilleaume II, son of king Phillip II (born 1809)
Guilleaume II (in republican circles called Guilleaume I) changed the constitution of his father in moderate manner and begin to modernisize the land. He let build the first railway line 1842 between Elegantia and Aaby and founded the new harbour in Aaby. So after this works the last king, his brother Gerald IV, has a good start. He died - only 36 years old and without a son - as his anchestor Gerald III - at a hunting-accident in the Chasse de Bretigny in the north of the land.
* 1844 - 1868 Gerald IV, brother of king Guilleaume II (born 1812)
The time has overrun the autocratic reign of kings. 1857 to 1859 Gerald IV was in war with Lorredian about the area of Haute-Enclave and he lost the province. Most people in Zylanda mean, let the frenkisk speaking people there go back to Lorredian. So the revolution 1868 ended the kingdom in Zylanda and the Bretigny-family go into the exile in Cascande, because Lorredian will give no asyl for the formerly royal family.
In 1864 - by collecting a new super-taxe - the riots began in the south. The Leader was Cuart Rensenbrink. In the battle of Prøkniland 1868 the last King Gerald IV was killed with a dagger from Rensenbrink himself, but Rensenbrink war murdered by the troops of the king. Therefore the dagger is in the flag of the zylandian republic.
First of all the southern provinces Syd, Dat Plattland, De Heugels, Elegantia, Odderndool, Slybeland, Søønland and Røde Erd made a new independent country as a republic. In the north and in Greunalfdool still the royalists have the power and after de death of the king some warlords made her own thing. So the Republic of Zylanda begun to defeat one after the other and 1874 came Wesfeld to the land, 1877 Øsfeld, 1880 Greunalfdool and at last 1881 Nørd, where Fred Guimares, the so named "Grand roi de Charity" was set in prison.
1869 was founded the first modern parliament in Zylanda, elected by all man ("one man, one vote"). First 1902 too women had the right to vote. (more text will follow]
Cooperation with Latina

On the other hand have Zylanda and the eastern provinces of Latina, the former colony "New Holland", enought influence to balance the interestings against the western part of Latina.
