AN144, AN117, AN118 and AN331 - Name TBD. Exchange for AN150f.

	Physical geography
	An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. With the exception of Beginner territories, you should always create a sketch map to illustrate & explain your plans. You can add a link to this (hosted on imgBB, Postimages or similar, but not imgur.com)

Based (most likely) on South Pacific islands, some volcanic, some atolls, with the larger mainland island being mostly mountainous, with coastal plains, forests and swamps.

	Human geography
	A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

Demographically a developing country, with fairly low levels of development and poor infrastructure. Some tourism. Some mines. A decaying railway network on the mainland island. Iniquity.

	History & culture
	A brief description of the intended culture and language

Taukan-influenced on the mainland island, other conlangs on the more oceanic islands. Cultural connections with Ullanyé. Some use of NKo (ߒߞߏ) script.

	Past mapping
	To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful.
	The {{coord}}, {{node}}, {{relation}} or {{scalehelper}} templates can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - they result in nicely formatted links. Or you can paste in a URL.

Hesperis and some other unfinished projects.

	Username & date
	Sign and date the application by typing four tildes (~~~~) without spaces or "nowiki" tags.

The backdrop of your application seems consistent with neighbouring territories (AN148 economically and AN152a culturally). As we would like to keep so flexibility for future developments, could you please choose between AN117 and AN118 for incorporation into the future territory? Please bear in mind that both territories are a bit more to the south than what is usually understood by South Pacific Islands (here, around mid NZ North Island).

Thanks for your reply. I agree with you point about southern location - I'm thinking cool oceanic climate, maybe similar to Amsterdam and Saint-Paul Islands (38°S). I assume by flexibility you mean to keep the option for other mappers, but there needs to be some thought behind it to try to keep things coherent. There is always the option to add islands later. For now, if I can remove the two south-east islands of AN118 and shift the other two a bit further north then that would be acceptable. Ūdilugbulgidħū (talk) 21:38, 11 October 2024 (UTC)

Thank you Udi. As the relocation of the islands only marginally changes their respective size, I've only resized the maritime boundary to 12 nautical miles. AN117, AN118 and AN331 have been merged into AN144 which is now yours. Each island already has its relation, usually with the generic name:"Island". Here are the territory relation of 110,696.69 km², that includes the land masses and territorial waters and, the land_area relation of 21,531.49 km²

AN150f has been marked for withdrawal with a deadline set on November 24th. Please transfer the mapping you consider being transfer in the meantime.
