The Lonowai Islands are an overseas territory of Gobrassanya, governed as Lonowai District with a large degree of autonomy. This page sets out the framework for collaborative editing of the islands, limiting the features which can be mapped, in order to achieve a realistic result.

The islands are split into 3 counties. The largest city is Ūhola (Redbeard's Harbor), followed by the capital Ōbaku. Due to Lonowai's position at around 14 degrees north latitude, the islands are heavily forested and weather conditions are normally very humid most of the year. There is a pronounced dry season that occurs through the winter months (October through March) which supports a strong tourism industry.

Language and culture are a mix of English (Ingerlish colonisation) and native Gobrassi / Lonowai Islanders.

  • Towns and vilages (red): The largest city is Ūhola (Redbeard's Harbor), followed by the capital Ōbaku. Ūhousta on the southeast coast is also a large population centre, with many tourism focussed developments
  • Nature reserves and protected areas (purple): large areas of the island are heavily forested and protected from development
  • Farming and horticulture areas (green): predominantly in the lower valleys there is farming (crops?)
  • Beach & tourism related areas (yellow)
  • Rugged & rocky coastline (blue)
  • Railways (black): there is a railway service connecting the airport, Ōbaku, Ūhousta and Ūhola. At Ūhousta there is a branch southward to ex-port facilities at Lāden'b, but now offering limited passenger service. All lines are mainly single track.
  • Trunk and primary roads (red): there are no grade separated junctions on the island, with dual carriageways limited to small sections of the Ōbaku to Ūhola trunk road.
  • Airport: the international airport is located to the west of Ōbaku, connected by road and rail to the main population centres
