As we know, we all tend to decide on historical features for our countries, saying, for instance, that the country expanded at that time, was allied with this other country, or at war with it, at this other time, etc. We mostly do that either on our own or by agreeing with, say, one neighbour, that our two countries were at war at a given time.

But there’s no repository of this history. I can know when something happened in my country in a certain era, but my neighbour may have been at war with the guy two countries over at the same time, and I wouldn’t know it. So, I wanted to ask if it would be a good idea to have a place, like this page, to write down the key historical events in our countries, to let other mappers in the same region know what their neighbours consider to have happened. I guess there’s be far too much inconsistency to make it a very formal and important thing, bit it still seems like a good idea to me.

I think this is a good idea. Perhaps something like a three-column table with year(s), country, and event. Pawl (talk) 11:19, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
Anyone got any historical events they want to share? I mean, I know that, being the one who suggested the idea, I should probably have come up with some, but I’m still working out my country’s history. The only things I ‘know’ as of yet is that it’s a city-state that basically emerged as an offshoot of the ‘Holy (German) Roman Empire’ one way or another, similarly to what happened in Luxembourg, the Swiss cantons, etc. So, I pretty much assume an OGF Holy Roman Empire that would be basically Kalm and the surrounding states, probably itself being the more or less successor state to an OGF ‘Carolingian empire’ that would have been Kalm + Franqueterre + Plevia. But I don’t have any specific dates or anything, really.

A sort of Holy Roman Empire which later split up would work as the basis for Lentia as well. A possible idea is that some former Duchies of given Empire later formed Lentia. Imperator (talk) 14:08, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
