Since we already have Collab:Pax Nova bids active, and considering the real-world World Cup is active now, would there be any interest in resurrecting and/or rebooting the old WAFO World Cup? It looks like there was a partial list of hosts (which now includes many lost countries), and now that we have a more formal structure in place for the Pax Nova, maybe we could do something similar, especially since the Pax Nova is only on a 4-year cycle. --TheMayor (talk) 16:48, 28 November 2022 (UTC)

-I think it would be interesting and fun to rebooting the WAFO World Cup. Your idea of utilizing the Pax Nova Games structure is a good idea. --Glauber (talk) 3:12, 2 December 2022 (UTC)

Every 4 years, starts in OGF ideas to reboot football/soccer World Cup and Geolimpiads (both summer and winter), voting official names, changing host countries etc etc etc... Months later, everybody forget about it. Will we do it again? -- BMSOUZA (talk) 01:09, 3 December 2022 (UTC)
My hope is that we can settle into a pattern where there’s a major contest every two years: Pax Nova every 4 (2020, 2024, 2028, etc.) and a football tournament every 4 years in between (2022, 2026, 2030, etc.) so we have a stable 24-month cycle for these kinds of events under the same framework. Frequent enough that it’s sustainable, but not so often that it becomes a distraction. –TheMayor (talk) 04:33, 3 December 2022 (UTC)
Agreed to keep this way, as in RW. -- BMSOUZA (talk) 13:36, 3 December 2022 (UTC)
