Forum:Request help/OpenGeoFiction for Magical Worlds

OpenGeoFiction in its current form is only meant for mapping a fantasy reflection of the current, real world. It would be cool, though, to build a second OpenGeoFiction, which is aimed at creating magical worlds, as are found in fantasy books. I have been playing with the idea for a while now, but do not know how to execute it. There would obviously be some problems with that, some of which include that many magical, geographical features don't have tags or that extensive cave systems would be hard to map.

I would like to get a general feel and feedback from the community about this idea and potentially people to realize the plan (Maybe thilo, Joschi81, or Luciano). Maybe such things are already in the make?

Oh, I have come across that before, I think. It wasn't public then, but now it semi is. Thanks! --Fifafo (talk) 15:38, 22 May 2022 (UTC)

So is there a download of the actual OpenStreetMap software available somewhere? And if so how do you download a world that doesn't exist Was it drawn? Imported from a fractal mapmaker program?

Cheers, Quint

That would be a HRATE, it's currently a very complicated process. [1] Luciano's patreon has a monthly subscription tier where you get your own OSM world hosted, it might seem expensive but it's fair given that it's a manual and painstaking process to create and is hosted by an individual, hopefully one day we can see rent-a-planet go mainstream.
