: Hi,
: Most remarks were suggestions. For example, it's really up to you do decide on which side the country drives. I just mentioned it because if it drives on the right, some systems, such as flying junctions or special X-shaped crossings, should be considered near the border so that cars and/or trains change side.
: In the meantime, I'm reserving AN136a for 2 months so that the application can be reviewed by then. Cheers --[[User:Aiki|Aiki]] ([[User talk:Aiki|talk]]) 21:20, 28 January 2023 (UTC)

An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar)

The RFAK (Short for the Federal Republic Aleverde and Kopersia) is a very small country northeast of Guai, lying in the Kōpere Bay. The mainland region, Kopersia, is a relatively flat plain with almost no hills and a lot of rivers, resembling a terrain similar to the Dutch terrain IRL. The island, called Aleverde, is relatively hilly though, with two main and multiple small rivers. A small island lies a few kilometers from the Kopersian coast, on which the capital and federal district are located.

Invest - The Noun Project.svgHuman geography
A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

The territory of the RFAK is divided into 3 districts or canētos: Kopersia, Aleverde and Hȍvȅlike Federal District (KOP: Canēto Fēdēral Hȍvȅlike). Kopersia has 830k inhabitants, Aleverde has 130k inhabitants and HFD has 36k inhabitants, totaling to just over 1 million inhabitants. Kopersia is a very densely populated area, containing the largest city called Ȅlikerāvai, having 341k inhabitants. The territory north of the currently unnamed river (J) is the most inhabited and industrialized, with Ȅlikerāvai lying there. The territory south of the river is mostly farmland with small towns, with only a few cities over 20k lying there. Aleverde has one city where half of the population lives (65k) called Ātúveri, and the other people live spreaded over the island. Finally, Hȍvȅlike is a city lying on an island with the same name, and the island is practically the city, a central hill that is a national park. The architecture and general style will be resembling Guai, but also with some modern IRL Asian touches to it. The economy on the mainland is mostly based on services, with some advanced hi-tech industries. Aleverde will be mostly based on agriculture and tourism. The development of Kopersia is very high, with a HDI value of 0.956, while Aleverde is still very developed, but just less, standing at 0.891. The only highways of the country are in Kopersia, mostly connecting the large cities and connecting to a few other countries. Aleverde has multiple expressways, but no highways.

Noun Project languages icon 105908 cc.svgHistory & culture
A brief description of the intended culture and language

The history of Aleverde starts way earlier than the history of Kopersia. Aleverde was a kingdom from around 1700 BC to 345 AD called the Vitigerian Empire, also controlling a large part of Kopersia. From 345 AD to 1507 AD, the country was almost always under Guaiian control, if Aiki accepts this part of his history, of course. From 1507, it’s a kingdom again, until in 1771, the country split after a civil war between the Aleverdan monarchists and the Kopersian democrats. After a long split, the monarchy of Aleverde becomes weaker and weaker and in 1904, the democrats took over the country, deposing the king and declaring a republic. However, only 6 years later (1908), a currently unnamed dictator took over the country and ruled it until 1967, when he died. After that, a few more dictators ruled the country, all having fights and civil wars, until in 1998, a revolution finally made the country democratic again. The next year, the country unified with Kopersia, creating the RFAK.

Both areas have a similar culture, close to the Guaiian culture. Aleverde still has its own culture, but Guaiian influences are rising. Kopersia is generally viewed as a mix of a little bit old Aleverdan culture and a lot of Guaiian culture. The language is way different though, and they use a lot of diacritics as they very recently changed to the standard alphabet. Religion is still important in Aleverde, where most people are following Guaiian Ohoism or Vitigerism. In Kopersia however, near 90% of people are atheist, an extremely high number.

Discussion for clarification & decision

- Edited some names to be more similar to other Taukan names. KameKaza (talk) 17:17, 25 January 2023 (UTC) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Thank you for your request. Please find below some remarks:

  • Physical geography
    • AN136a is located ~38°S, so much more Mediterranean than the oceanic Netherlands. If you want Korpersia to be flat, I would suggest you have a look at similar flat areas at the same latitudes:
      • Monte Gordo in Portugal (36°N)
      • Coastal plains in the provinces of Alicante and Valencia, Spain (38°N)
      • The former Pontine Marches in Italy (~40°N)
      • There are some flat areas east/north east of the San Pablo Bay in California, USA (~38°N), where the San Joaquin and Sacramento valleys meet.
      • Southeastern part of South Australia is reasonably flat (~38°S) from the Coorong to Mount Gambier
    • Hilly examples for Aleverde are much easier to find IRL.
    • Please pay attention, on your draft, that the border with Guai is drawn by the Eda river. I'm not sure it can branch off as on your map.
  • Human geography
    • What does KOP iin "KOP: Canēto Fēdēral Hȍvȅlike" mean?
    • As you seem a Dutch speaker, AN136a has more or less the same land area as Groningen Province does but, in the the case of AN136a, split between the continent and the island. If you have to add the Federal District on a new island with 36k inhabitants, it would need something significantly large in the strait. Even though its inhabitants may all/mostly be living in the capital, contrary to RW Gozo, I took this example as it has 33k inhabitants on a small island. Please have a look at the draft. Something larger than on your draft would be needed. You may opt to not have federal district. St Kitts & Nevis is a 2-subdivision very small federation with the capital being on St Kitts.
    • If Korpersia is flat, I wouldn't place Ȅlikerāvai on the small inlet that opens on the semi-enclosed lagoon/bay. I doubt River J would have a flow strong enough to drag the bottom of the bay and make it properly navigable. Most of coastal cities developed thanks to their port. To me, it would make more sense to have Ȅlikerāvai located next or on the 5kmx6km peninsula (or at least its centre and older extensions), especially if you picture it slightly rocky, it's western side provides a safe harbour.
      • Please pay attention that Guai drives on the left (cars and trains), that should be taken into account, especially if you consider driving on the right.
  • History & culture
    • Though empire may come in different sizes, I'm not sure a 755km2 island would qualifies. Regarding your mention of Guai, Guai as some kind of unified country didn't exist until 1652, and under its current form until 1848. I haven't ported all the History info from OGF old wiki article but I can provide some bits if needed.
    • If you need some additional Taukan info/sources of inspiration you may dig in the Taukan Page, Ullanyé article (including the language section) or Guai article and its language sandbox.
  • Past mapping
    • Though AN136a is quite a small territory, considering your past mapping (14 edits a bit over 6 months, months-long pauses), I would feel more reassured if your activity becomes more constant, meaning AN136a won't have to be withdrawn and cleared again in a few months. Before granting you a permanent private territory, I'd first ask you to practice a little more in the beginner or blue territories as you have done so far. I can especially recommend the Scale-Helper, to get a better feeling for how wide roads should be spaced and the size of buildings etc. A little practice mapping non-urban areas, such as farmland, forests, mountains or rivers would also be nice. If you want to move your mapping from the practice area to your private territory later, please know that that is no issue whatsoever and I can easily help you with that, so you lose no time by spending a little more time in the practice zone.

Happy Mapping, --Aiki (talk) 14:36, 28 January 2023 (UTC) (note: please sign your comments by typing four "~"-symbols after each other at the end of your comment, it will turn into a time stamped signature)

  • About the location, I knew that it is similar to the Mediterranean. However, it was more about the abundance of hills. Other parts, like vegitation, will be based on its location and the Antarephian artical.
  • KOP is short for Kopersian, sorry for not displaying the meaning of the abbreviation.
  • The country will drive on the left.

Some changes:

  • I'll remove the plan of the federal district, Ȅlikerāvai will become the capital then (which will be located on the place you proposed.
  • I'll generally overhaul the history before 1507.

I'll first edit more things though, I'll request it again in like 15 edits (or more, if I happen to edit inconsistently again, which I'm most likely not doing). I'm editing this again once that happens, so you can review these changes then, you don't have to do it now yet.
