Please fill in the information below to make a territory request.
Noun Project Signature icon 619326 cc.svgTerritory ID and proposed name
The Territory ID (from OpenGeofiction:Territories, e.g. AR123a) and proposed name of the country

AN153-Boscevania

Noun Project Map icon 1463108.svgPhysical geography
An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar)

I intend for boscevania (bos-ke-vay-nee-a) to have a colder climate and be inspired from the pacific northwest (forests, rivers, steep mountains). It will be flatter on the coast, series of mountain ranges starting slightly inland before having a flatter area in the western side of the region. It will have a very cold (and wet climate in the eastern portion) leading to huge snowfalls in the winter. Here is a "sketch" https://imgur.com/a/ZfboCKBIts population will be mostly concentrated in large cities, with occasional mountain towns.

Invest - The Noun Project.svgHuman geography
A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

I intend for AN153 to have a very good economy, with more agriculture in the western plains and cities and industry closer to the coast. It will also have a significant timber industry, and the mapping style will be more abstract with minimal grids.

A brief description of the intended culture and language

I intend for Boscevania to have an english or english-like culture and language

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.

Thank you for your application, the draft & the link to your past mapping.

Antarephia, especially its southern cone, is meant to have little to no Ulethan influence (OGF version of Europe) with a local History that have left traces in culture (including language used for mapping) or urban design (grids as mentioned or in your past mapping example are likely to be very limited). In terms of climate, AN153 is more likely to look like South Scandinavia (maybe Scania) than Pacific Northwest. My last point regards topography, this part of Austral Antarephia won't have high mountain ranges (I guess that what you meant my steep mountains), otherwise it would block tempering oceanic winds to cross the narrow continent, to reach the Hardan archipelago and explain why & how reasonably large groups of people settled down there and have prospered.

On the other hand, you may consider joining the Federal States where your mapping style & language used for mapping won't mismatch. If the Pacific Northwest influence is important to you, AR120-76 is the closest though taken. AN120-46 and 47 may bear some resemblance with inland Oregon. You may also opt for another available state. --Aiki (talk) 21:35, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
