* Yes this is for an additional territory, and as for mappingwise it will follow a more broken grid, and anglicised colonisation pattern with French influence due to it being in Deodeca rather than being more free flowing as seen in Layr. My natural mapping may follow some similarities to nearby Nishowigan, similar to Toronto with distribution of lakes, etc [[User:Intergan|Intergan]] ([[User talk:Intergan|talk]]) 16:43, 27 March 2022 (UTC)

The Territory ID (from OpenGeofiction:Territories, e.g. AR123a) and proposed name of the country

AR060-07 - Argueil

Noun Project Map icon 1463108.svgPhysical geography
An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar)

Image of plan The region will be quite forested with plains areas being found in the Northern part of the region along Lake Betaoauis. Many lakes will adorn the Southern border with Nishowigan and Ardencia where there will be many wetlands also. There will be some interstate rivers originating from AR060-06 and the border with AR060-08 will be changed to go through a new river. General climate will be similar to that of Toronto and neighbouring Nishowigan being cold and temperate.

Invest - The Noun Project.svgHuman geography
A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

The region will have its regional capital on Lake Betaoauis with major roads and railway leading radially outwards from it with woodland and lakes being barriers and causing more detours and curves. Cities and towns will be based on Auckland and Ottawa with broken and long grids outside of the central area and more squarish grids near the centre. Here the economy will be mostly financial and telecommunications based with a strong technological industry due to its climate, it's inland location and lakes allows for easy base for technology companies looking to have a natural location with easy access to an educated and multicultural population due to it being an area of established minority presence.

Further away front the lakes there is a strong forestry industry with an emphasis on sustainable development, the area has been able to cut back on emissions and has become one of the 'cleaner' regions of Deodeca with migration to the area from those looking for less pollution and education facilitating high growth meaning there are many new developments

Noun Project languages icon 105908 cc.svgHistory & culture
A brief description of the intended culture and language

Due to Franquese claims in the lakes region there is some influence to the south of the region especially between the state capital and the border with many Franquese speaking people and namings. Here there is a strong emphasis on protecting the environment with nature reserves and forests sustainably managed and maintenance of the many species which live there. This area although having many churches in the past due to the Ingerish, many are no longer used for religious purposes and instead become used for local groups and food banks for those less fortunate.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.

Discussion for clarification & decision

  • I assume this application is for an additional territory rather than in exchange for Layr; please confirm. Also, can you briefly explain how your mapping in Deodeca will differ from your mapping in Layr? (To be clear, there’s nothing wrong with your Layr mapping, just want to make sure the difference in culture in Deodeca is acknowledged.) —TheMayor (talk) 16:35, 27 March 2022 (UTC)

I am approving this request. Keep in mind that Deodeca territories are not independent; cooperation and collaboration with other Deodeca mappers will be required to ensure the larger project remains cohesive. --TheMayor (talk) 18:27, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
As you develop your territory, be sure to keep it realistic. Here are some resources you may find useful for starting out: Help:Portal, Help:Making realistic countries, Help:Making realistic cities and OpenGeofiction:Site policies
