State of Pennaconsett (PN)

Noun Project Map icon 1463108.svgPhysical geography
An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar)

The Physical geography of Pennaconsett will feature a temperate continental climate with small rolling hills that grow progressively taller towards the southeastern borders of the state with Ponquin, Ruppacke, and Whitestone. Towards the centre will feature a large densely forested valley that eventually leads to the lower portions where the Bluegill river will flow. To the west of the valley will become progressively hillier with Appalachian style mountains which would be a part of the continuous Eastern mountain range. The Northeastern region would be a lower altitude area with a few hills and a lot of lakes that are part of the Bluegill watershed. The Southwestern portion of the state would have a few river valley areas and water springs with the lower lying areas being a forested valley.

Invest - The Noun Project.svgHuman geography
A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

This would be a state with a lot of arable land, a lot of easily accessible water, rich with shale and uranium deposits and other rare metals. The majority of the population would be centred along the bluegill river due to large amounts of nutrient rich flatlands that would be most optimal for human settlement. There will also be two small urban regions situated on water springs at the foothills of the eastern mountain range. Though one would be on the leeward side of the range and primarily connected through a mountain pass with a small river running through it that is dammed off to fill a reservoir. The State would have a large population of roughly 10 million people (Though this can be changed) . This is because in addition It would also consist of Huntington's south suburbs. FS-21, FS-22, and FS-30 would be major highways running through the state with several planned state highways that would connect the smaller cities. The culture would be comparable to that of eastern Pennsylvania from Harrisburg and everything geographically east of it. It would also have some resemblance to rural northern Virginia and southern Maryland in its western areas. The largest city will be at an important river convergence between the Bluegill and Pennaconsett rivers in what would be Wickenburg. These two highly navigable rivers that eventually connect to the ocean would have all the building blocks to have fosters large urban growth over time.

A brief description of the intended culture and language

This would have been one of the original FSA colonial states. The Bluegill river valley would have historically been home to many forts and a lot of war time battles over control of the major cities in the area. It will be an FSA state so it will have Ingerish as it's primary language with some Kalman (individuals originating from Kalm) influences as there will be a sizeable population of them who migrated there historically.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.

This is Intended to be a closed collaborative project between Mappers "The Torontarian" and "Columbus" both have mapping experiences within the FSA.

Columbus has mapping experiences in Michisaukee specifically in the town of Galway and some rural parts of the FSA

The Torontarian has mapping experience in the FSA with the former state of Olselen, Drull, Hampton, Ardencia, as well as improved rural mapping in the island nation of Godotvia
