The Territory ID (from OpenGeofiction:Territories, e.g. AR123a) and proposed name of the country

TA109a - Republic of Araguán/ República de Araguán/ Araiguânê'e Furivichóva'y

Noun Project Map icon 1463108.svgPhysical geography
An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar)

Araguán is planned to be a tropical/subtropical country mid economy "latin american" country (something like Uruguay, Bolivia or Argentina (specially the north part)). The subtropical climate is ideal for agriculture and cattle raising, especially in the lowlands near the coast. is planned to be a flat country, with small hills in the middle and a low mountain range in the north crossing from Naïne to Tempeira.

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

As it was a Castellanese outpost, its main language would be Castellanese. Portuguese equivalent of OGF (Florescentian?) and Franquese would be spoken specially near the border, because Naïne and Tempeira would border Araguán, but not widely. Also, indigenous languages (Neiguânê'e, (Caleuche maybe?) and others) would be spoken, and they would have an official status.

Its population would be mainly mixed, with some immigration points near the coast and a large indigenous population in the north of the country.

It'd be a mostly densely populated country. I don't have the exact population but I guess it would have around 4 to 15 million (this number may change)

A brief description of the intended culture and language

Parts of Araguán would've been inhabited by indigenous tribes and other parts would've been conquered by the Caleuche empire (of Tempeira). Then, colonization is started by Florescentians who were exploring that zone. They establish a colony there, but it isn't as important as the Tempeira ones. Those settlements are destroyed by the Neiguânê'e a couple of times. After being destroyed and refounded many times they finally find themselves in peace. The colony doesn't expand, as Florescenta prefers to fully focus in Tempeira, so around 14-15 century Castellán invades it and makes a new colony. They explore all the country and fight with the indigenous people.

Around end of 18th- start of 19th century, Araguán finally becomes independent.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.

Mapping Example 1 Large scale mapping of a city (not very detailed)

Mapping Example 2 More detailed mapping, rural and urban areas. Detail of buildings.

I hope this is enough!

One more thing: personally I don't know if my mapping should be moved from Aljánuba to Araguán. What do you think it's the best option?

Thank you again, jl06

I'm presuming this is a request to exchange AR032d for TA109a, right? Taka (talk) 08:58, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
