Hi! Your plans are very much in line with what is expected for this territory. My main concern lies in your mapping style, which I keep seeing reflected in the locations you've linked as well as recent mapping; such as in the south of your Beginner territory. While I must admit the geometric style is pretty darn cool, it doesn't quite qualify for the realistic standard we have on OGF. It almost looks like an overworld map of an old video game, though the ideas behind it are good! Is there a reason why you're opting for this style? The Territory ID (from OpenGeofiction:Territories, e.g. AR123a) and proposed name of the country

Kerndurch - from german 'kern' (core) and 'durch' (through). Used to describe the land as an entry to central Tarephian resources

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

Physical Geography

  • Mountains near the western coast from north to south.
  • Coastal landscape is sandy with tropical vegetation.
  • Interior landscape is a plateau with savannah vegetation.
  • Elevation drops to the east, where the landscape is arid.

Climate

  • Coastal climate is tropical, hot, with a rainy season (due to the mountain range catching moisture from the ocean).
  • Interior climate is arid, hot, dry annually (due to the mountain range blocking moisture from the ocean).
  • Mountain climate is temperate to cold (due to elevation).

Demographics

  • Descendants of West Ulethan colonizers (whites) are common in the cities in the west coast.
  • Indigenous tribes (blacks) are more common in the eastern sifde of the country.

Development

  • West coast is highly developed (urban sprawls).
  • Economy is largely concentrated in the western part of the country.
  • Most of country's food is imported.
  • Eastern part of the country is still developing.
  • Railways connecting cities.

A brief description of the intended culture and language

Official Language would be Gaermanic from Kalmish colonization in the past. Indigenous cultures from multiple tribes in the interiors use tribal languages (conlangs) as second or main language.

  • Culture would be most likely based on sub-saharan particularly on real world Upper Guinea.
  • Religion would be protestantism with churches and cathedrals common in the west, while animistic in nature for the natives in the east, having less structures and untouched lands as respect to nature.
  • Settled by Ingerish and Kalmish explorers in the age of discovery, was eventually fully under Kalmish governance.
  • Exploitations of natives and resources caused war between the regional government and the natives.
  • Natives were pushed back into the interiors, Kalm claiming the entire western coast.
  • Railway and road expansion to the interior caused another war against the natives.
  • Direct governance by Kalm was overthrown wen regional government made a separation movement from the country.
  • War stopped when reforms were signed for the natives.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.
