Süßaanland is a northern latitude low to moderate elevatation nation in the Northwest Uletha region. It is made up of a mainland region in the south that shares a land and sea border with Vilvetia to the west and south, and Nordrige to the east. It also has several small and medium sized islands that make up the north of the country. The southern region of the mainland of Süßaanland is heavily forested and mountainous, with a maximum elevation of approximately 700 meters at the border with Vilvetia. Further north is foothills and then gentle rolling hills and plains, at moderate elevations.. Fluss Bürgen is the largest river in the country, and is the main watershed for the mainland, especially the low lying flat plains in the furthest north of the mainland, some being even under sea level. The mouth of Fluss Bürgen and surrounding area is the most heavily industrialized region of the country, with heavy shipping industry. The plains regions are the agricultural heartland of the country, and the coastline of x’s mainland has many of its important settlements, including the largest city, Dröstenburg am Bürgen. The island regions of the country are mostly plains and limited hills, as well as housing the capital city, Rönshach. The climate of the country is temperate to cold, especially in the higher elevation mountain areas

Süßaanland has a total population of 7.9 million people, and a total GDP of $678 billion Universal Standard Dollar. It has an HDI index of 0.952 and is considered to be a developed country with a very high level of human rights and equality. The country has heavily developed infrastructure including public rail transit and high coverage of pedestrian and cyclist accessibility.

Dröstenburg am Bürgen is the largest city in the country, with 1.2 million people, and along with Nordhafen, forms the industrial heartland of the nation, featuring heavy shipping industry. Rönshach is the capital city, at a population of 500,000, and is the financial and cultural center of the country, with some industrial capacity as well. The numerous large and small islands off of the mainland, besides having the capital city, also have heavy fishing industry and some agriculture. The southern mountain regions are mostly undeveloped and rural, and much of it is protected national parkland. Logging and mining industries used to be the driving economic force of the region, but environmental protection and preservation efforts have ended most sites, and in modern times, nature tourism is the predominant industry of the region. The lowlands region is the farming heartland of the country and has heavy agricultural industry.

Inspiration will be taken from western Germany as well as the Netherlands.

A brief description of the intended culture and language

Süßaanland uses standard Kalmish language and alphabet, with moderate dialect differences due to its location isolated from the Kalmish homeland.

Historically, the country has been a seafaring trade nation, being a strong economic and financial power for its small land size. The country is generally not militarily powerful and is usually neutral in conflict. In modern times, the country continues to be a financial and trade hub. The country’s main differences in culture is the difference between the rural and urbanized populations, especially in modern times due to increased globalization. The country’s population is generally educated very well and is bi or trilungial due to its close proximity to Nordrige and Vilvetia.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.

Wilthamshire, Federal States of Archanta – My previous major mapping project, albeit incomplete. New Annshire was the most developed and detailed area of the state. Most of my mapping is preserved except for very minor changes and changes in the north added by a new mapper. (USA style, both urban and rural)
