Geography
Silverdale is located in Central Apawiland and is located 15 miles (25 kilometers) from Tejoma, and 22 miles (35 kilometers) from Sierra. Silverdale's position between two high mountain ranges makes it one of the highest cities in the Federal States, with most of the city crossing 6,500 feet (2,000 meters). Some parts of the city, such as hiking destination Fen Dells, are high enough to give visitors soroche.
The city has access to a large tarn called Lake Opáspeya formed by the now nearly-extinct glaciers in Apawiland.

History
Before being settled by Ulethan Effesians, the valley was sparsely inhabited by the nearby Apawi natives. The valley had a ceremonial importance to the natives, with Round Hill, being in the center of the valley, being a burial ground.
In 1849, nearly 300 Mavericks from Choctamuskee entered the valley, first finding the town of Fort Maverick before settling in Silverdale. The population slowly decreased due to limited access to resources, with much of the population, especially the younger ones, moving to Gainesboro.
