| intro = Kalkara (Kalkaran: Il-Kalkara) is a __ located in southwestern Uletha situated on the busy Kalkaran Strait, connecting the Liberan Island to the Ulethan mainland. Its capital of San Openġ is the largest city in Kalkara and the economic centre. Kalkara borders Alliria to the northwest, Alvorán to the south, Libérie Franque to the east, and Franqueterre to the northeast via the Franquese Exclave City. It is a member of both the Assembly of Nations (since 1951) and a member of the Association of South Ulethan Nations (since 1984).

The history of Kalkara stretches back thousands of years. The first written records of Kalkara come from the Romantish, who refer to the city on the straits as 'Calcarium', due to its location along limestone cliffs that were used as quarries. With conquests from the Romantish, and later the Mazanic and Ulethan peoples, the nation is shaped by war and the ocean. Inhabited today by mainly the native Kalkaran peoples, who speak the official language of Kalkaran (Kalki), the nation is a prosperous one, reaping income from sailors and ships who travel through the Strait. It is famed for its culture and heritage, being the only nation led today by a knightly organisation.
}}

Name
Kalkara's name stems from the Romantish Calcarium, meaning limestone. It is generally agreed upon that the name was first used to refer to the original city we now refer to as San Openġ, however later in the Romantish period it came to be applied to the area as a whole. The official name of the nation is Il-Kalkara in Kalkaran, and in Ingerish it is simply Kalkara, the official Ingerish name for the nation.

Geography
Kalkara is split in two by the Kalkaran Strait, with one side in mainland Uletha and the other on the Liberan Island. The north is the more populous side, known for its hills, relatively lower peaks, and flat coastal areas for farming aside from its northeastern coast near Aħmara, which is marked by higher mountains. The western coast on the northern half is known for its beaches. The southern more empty side is dominated by mountains in the interior. This region is often noted for its craggy coasts, with cliffs seemingly a constant along its shores. In the west, the southern half is known for its salt production, especially at Marsaċatta and Inabdos on Gżira tan-Nagħiet, an island due west of Marsaċatta.

The largest island in Kalkara is ___ located southwest of the Isweda Promontory and due south of Ġannenia, known for its copper deposits and for its rich local seafood and fishing industries, the products of which are hailed as some of the best in the nation.

Kalkara's natural resources are mostly comprised of limestone (found across the nation), copper (found mostly on the island of ___), and blue clay, a substance often only found on the coasts around Sanalea, used for the famous signature Sanalea pottery.

Kalkara's largest river is the River San Openġ, which has its source deep in the Southern Mountains and makes its way to the Strait, exiting near San Openġ. Other rivers of note include the Ġannenia River, the River Hagra, and the Sirakuża and Abjada Rivers. The nation's largest lake is ___, found in ___. Other notable hydrological locations are the Hagra Lagoon, Dardir Santa Ġemma (the saline lagoon on which Marsaċatta is situated), the various sounds located across the country, and the Kalkaran Strait itself.

History
Bronze Age
Iron Age
Classical Antiquity
Before 1st Century: Kalkara was inhabited by ancient peoples that eventually were subsumed into the Hellanesian world by conquests from the west, as they spread across the region. The ancient strait city, the name of which has been lost to time, is speculated based on ruins and artifacts to have been moderately cosmopolitan and a target for Romantish interests.

Late Antiquity
1st–7th Centuries: The Romantish conquered the area around the year 40 AD (about the time the Uthyran countries fell to Romantish expansionism). Romantish Christicism arrived and supplanted polytheistic practices. Romantish rule lasted through much of the late 7th century, but the area at this time would have been independent to some degree. The Romantish named the strait city Calcarium for its limestone bluffs and quarries where precious white lime was mined to be shipped back to the core of the empire. It eventually became applied to the entire domain.

7th Century: A Mazanic invasion of the land results in the annexation of Calcarium to the ever growing Mazanic dynasties. The language shifts during this point to a Semetic language with a small Hellanesian-Romantish substrata remaining, a leftover from the ancient past. Over time, it becomes an independent emirate.

Middle Ages
13th Century: As some Ulethan countries start looking to colonize overseas, an organised band of Ortholic knights, backed by Castellán, Franqueterre, Plevia, and Navenna (among others) wrested control of the Kalkaran Strait in the ___ Crusade, blessed by Pope ___. These knights were the Order of St. Openge (L-Ordni ta' San Openġe). Despite a few subsequent Mazanic incursions, the land managed to be defended and retained by the knights. The earliest Grand Masters were Plevian, and they promoted use of the Plevian language among the elites. The knights also reinforced Ortholic Christicism and open the strait to the Ulethan powers for the first time since the rule of the Romantish. The Ulethan powers allowed the knights to control the strait as a 'neutral party' to prevent one power from exerting the most control. This eventually was the cause for some political intrigue and dissonance among the ruling Grand Masters.

Late Modern Era
Early 1800s: In the wake of a power struggle between two claimants to the position of Grand Master, referred to in Kalkaran history as the ___, Plevia invades out of fear of outsized Castellanese influences and the perceived inability of the knights to fend off another Mazanic incursion through the Straits. The knights ask Ingerland for help, who successfully repels the Plevian invasion but asserts their control over the Strait. The Ingerish use this as a springboard to colonise Khaiwoon and Gobrassanya; the knights are reduced to a mere caretaker role over the strait territory with no real authority, effectively humiliating and humbling the ancient order.

1950s: At the end of the Great War, the Ingerish end their control over the Strait as part of the Pax Nova. The Order of St. Openge regains their control over the territory in 1951, and accedes to the AN. Unlike before however, the knights are largely made up of Kalkaran individuals. With Kalkaran as the dominant and major official language, the knights institute a governmental structure that devolves most subnational positions to democratic elections. Outwardly, the resume their neutrality toward most nations, allowing access to the strait for peaceful means.

1960s: In the early 60s, Kalkara experienced record inflation, caused by __, inflicting severe damage to the economy and crippling the Kalkaran Scudo effectiveness as a functioning currency. To combat this unprecedented inflation, the then Grand Master Zeno d'Artusio __ the Kalkaran Scudo, enacting re-denomination reforms for the currency as well as sweeping economic reforms to prevent serious loss of business from the Straits. These efforts proved successful, and Kalkara was able to recover from this period quickly. Today, the highest denomination coins are minted at a value of 500 Kalkaran Scudo, and the highest value banknotes are issued at a denomination of 5,000 Kalkaran Scudo. Efforts to enact another re-denomination and return the Scudo to its original denominations are a somewhat occurring sentiment in the nation, but have proven to not be a major issue.

1980s: In 1984, Kalkara officially joined the Association of South Ulethan Nations, ratifying the majority of the plurilateral agreements and became the host for the ASUN Agency for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (ASUNMAF). This came after concerns in high leadership that the revenue from the Kalkaran Strait could come under threat from globalisation programs, as well as the ever present concern that Kalkara could cease to be a trade hub in the region - as well as many years of lobbying to the Kalkaran government by ASUN member states. It is assumed that ASUN agreed to Kalkara's accession with open arms, seeing Kalkara as a valuable member in both economic and strategic positions.

Present-Day: As an independent nation with a restored Knighthood, Kalkara is currently led by the first native Kalkaran Grand Master in history, Grand Master Oskar Serpina. Kalkara possesses a moderately advanced economy, with the most revenue being generated from trade (via the strait), as well as tourism. It has an HDI of .905, with most of the wealth concentrated along the strait. Culturally, the nation remains highly religious and very traditional-minded in a lot of ways. Liberalisation of the religion is constant but slow, and it is a huge part of Kalkara's politics. The nation welcomes the role of global crossroads but has a good amount of other nations imposing their cultural mores and is particularly wary of foreign commercial influences attempting to dominate the country because of its trade-focused economy.

Politics
Administrative divisions
Economy
The country's economy is largely trade and tourism based, due to its location on the Kalkaran strait. Fees and taxes levied upon ships passing through the strait is a major source of income for the nation, making up ___% of its GDP.

Kalkara is a major producer and exporter of limestone, from which its name derives. Other sources of income for Kalkara come from tourism, specifically from visitors to San Openġ and other cities like Aħmara and Ġannenia.

The currency of the nation is the Kalkaran Scudo (𝒮), which was subdivided into 100 tari until their discontinuation in 1963 due to inflation. Coins are minted in denominations of 50, 100, 200, and 500. Banknotes are issued in denominations of 500, 1,000, 2,000, and 5,000.

Demographics
Kalkara is largely a mono-ethnic country where minorities are a rarity within the recorded population.
Below is the recorded ethnic makeup of Kalkara from the 2024 Census conducted earlier this year.

Bromley City is the capital, and largest city of Bromley, with a population of around 2.2 million. It stands on the River Princer, which runs east to west through the country. Bromley City was once very rural, and was home to many native Bromlavian tribes. The capital was established in 1732 by Ingerish settlers who had expanded their control of the land area, and was named New Folkstyne. Some buildings from this colonial period still remain in the city. During the 20th Century, the city boundary was expanded to include towns such as Dumfry and Bosthorpe.

Bromley City is Bromley's seat of government. While farms remain in the outer parts of Bromley City, the city has developed to become a hub for the tertiary sector, with a significant number of offices. Bromley City exerts a strong influence on the banking and corporation industry, thanks to its gold exports from the Bromlavian mountains. City Port, located on the coastal parts of Bromley City, is also a strong trading hub which provides a substantial amount of Bromley's income.

Bromley City is home to many tourist attractions, such as Harting Cathedral, the National Assembly, the Museum of Bromley and the Ciconi Gallery. Bromley City's leadership is working to attract tourists to Bromley by investing in further attractions.

Bromley City has faced many struggles over the past few decades. Terror attacks by Barkenfrier separatists have been carried out several times, and protests have also caused chaos.
Trains
Bromley City is home to three terminus stations - City Harting, City Riverside and City Jarrow.

City Harting is located in the Harting area of the city, and acquired its name as a homage to the late Prime Minister, Lord Roland Harting. It was first opened in 1909 as a small railway station, but saw a grand expansion in 1920. City Harting accommodates trains from the south and less dense west of Bromley. It is a hub for commuters in the denser parts of southern Bromley City.

City Riverside is noted as Bromley's busiest station thanks to its links to the city's main airport, its connections to underground links and its direct connection to Barkenfry and international links to Layr. Riverside is the newest of Bromley City's terminus stations, opening in 1960.

City Jarrow is the oldest of Bromley City's terminus stations, opening in 1804 as a connection to City Port, where Bromley imported most of its goods under colonial rule. Ingerish migrants also travelled to Jarrow in order to settle in the city. The station was expanded in 1933.

Underground
Bromley City's underground services are administered by the Mayor of Bromley City and the privately owned City Metro organisation. The city is served by 5 underground lines, which reach out to outer parts of the city via the centre.
Nawagan comes from the word Naawagaam in the Gishiime language that means in the middle of the lake referring to how the Gishiime seen themselves inside Nawagan. The Ingerish used the word as an official term for the area, calling it Nawagan instead of Naawagam.
The country spans a total of 14,120 km2 (5,452 sq mi) and has a population of approximately 900,000 as of January 2012. Iviron is bordered by Antharia and Montemassena to the west and the Surian Chara republic to the north and east. The unrecognised breakaway state of Transmarmatia on the country's southeastern border with Suria. Iviron is a unitary parliamentary representative democratic republic with its capital in Marmatia, while the country's largest city and main cultural and commercial centre is Yaffa.

Most of Iviran territory was a part of the Surian Principality of Ivirya between the 7th and the 10th centuries, when it gradually fell to Garlian colonizers, Yaffa being the first Garlian colony and first Romantian language speaking settlement on the Iviran coast. The region was part of the Kingdom of Romany in the 14th century, as well as the Antharian Kingdom in 1789. In XXXX, the region was included in the Surian confederation, as the separate Ivira republic (Репꙋ́бʌика Іви́рѣ in Romanish, Республика Ивиря in Surian), as consequence of the Great War. The republic gained independence from the Surian confederation in 1999, while having ongoing border disputes with the Surian confederation (see Transmarmatian war).

Iviron is one of the poorest countries by GDP per official capita in Central Uletha and has one of the lowest Human Development Indexes in the subcontinent. Iviron is a member state of the Assembly of Nations and has open borders to Antharia and Montemassena, being part of the Statmos Agreement since 2017.

Etymology
Iviron, known between 1999 and 2004 as Ivira, has a name of unclear provenance. The most common theory derives the term from the Iviran people, etymology of which being connected to the term עָבַר (Iviran for to cross, possibly in reference to the Iviran people having crossed the Quirran river when settling the Iviran Coast region). This theory is disputed however, the Sur term Ivirya being significantly older than the Iviran term, which according to various historical sources is derived from the name of the region itself.

Another theory, proposed by the Antharian historian Stephen Waschke, is that the term stems from the old [Armenian] language, where վիրք (virkʿ) collectively denoted peoples settling regions east of the areas settled by [Armenians]. Other theories involve etymologies from the Mardoumakh language.

The term Ivirya was first mentioned in 712 CE, when the Osnianit Sur principalities of Dukash (Archis) and Toridava (Sens) united to the Ivirya Principality, with capital in Dukash. During the Garlian conquest of the Ivirya region, the term was extended to the Iviran Sea (ga. Marea Iviriae).

In the Middle Ages, the term was used more in relation to the Iviran culture, the term of the historical region being replaced by Romany and later Antharia. The term kept its initial meaning in Surian, being revived with the annexation of the current territory of Iviron into the Surian Confederation. After the 1999 independence of the Republic of Ivira, the state's name was changed to Iviron in 2004, after a name dispute with Antharia - the term Ivira historically referring to territories in both Iviron and Antharia. The term Iviron means from Ivira or of Iviran descent (in reference to the region) in old Antharian.
}}Riverina is a province of Deodeca, known for its rich natural resources, diverse ecosystems, and cultural heritage.
Geography
Riverina, located in Deodeca, shares an international border with the Federal States of Archanta to the east as well as the Nawagan panhandle, with Peralia to the north. The region boasts an array of topological variances, from the arid Mallee plains to the verdant coastal peripheries. Notable geographical features include the Mullumbidgee River and the Leyrch-Eureka Goldfields.

Concordia, the state capital, sits along the Queen's Strait and serves as the central node of Riverinan commerce and culture. A host of large towns, with their unique demographic compositions, are dispersed throughout the state, enriching its cultural fabric.
History
The history of Riverina stretches back millennia, featuring a wealth of indigenous peoples' expressions, from rock art and oral traditions to significant archaeological locales. The advent of European explorers surfaced during the 18th century. Riverina joined the Commonwealth of Deodeca as an official state in the 19th century.

Riverina has held a strategic place in Deodecan historic discourse, illustrated by notable occurrences like the illustrious Riverina Gold Rush, the Riverina Parliament's genesis, and modernization drives of the late 20th century. A revitalizing indigenous rights and heritage movement marks a contemporary shift in the state's history.

Surveying (1799-1806)
Concordia was surveyed in 1799. The first documented person to traverse the land on foot was Honorary James Russell in 1802, an affluent explorer hailing from Ingerland. Russell embarked on his exploration from Pallamana Bay, initially on horseback. However, his journey was fraught with challenges; his horse succumbed to dehydration in what is now known as Yillaninka, marked by a monument memorializing the event. Russell persevered, ultimately reaching the shores of Great Odeka Bay. This feat was deemed extraordinary given the arid climate, scarcity of potable water, and tensions with indigenous populations at the time. In recognition of his achievement, Russell was granted a residence at The Estates, then a discreet enclave reserved for Ingerish Government Officials. His crossing remains a pivotal event in Deodecan History, with the section of the TDH-2 passing through Riverina being christened the Russell Highway in homage to the pioneering journey he undertook.

Early Settlement
The early settlement period of Riverina State, dating back to the turn of the 19th century, marked a tumultuous yet formative era in the region's history. In 1811, as the pioneers began establishing Concordia, the capital city, they encountered the challenges of building a new society in the untamed Australian landscape.

Concordia, initially a promising settlement, faced the complexities of coexistence between settlers and the Indigenous population. The settlers, predominantly wealthier migrants seeking a new life, sought to create a thriving community. However, tensions arose as the settlers encroached on Indigenous lands, leading to clashes and disputes over resources.

To accommodate the influx of convicts arriving in Riverina State, Banville emerged as a fenced slum in the early days. This area served as a temporary containment for both convicts and Indigenous individuals, who were often subjected to harsh conditions. Working convicts labored tirelessly on the construction of what would become modern-day Concordia.

Rebellion of Concordia
In 1811, the fledgling settlement faced a dramatic turn of events when convicts staged a revolt in the capital city, Concordia. The upheaval saw the overthrow of the government, leading to a period of chaos and unrest.

Amidst the tumult, convicts and Indigenous individuals found themselves confined in Banville, a makeshift slum that would later become a modern suburb. Banville served as a holding ground for working convicts when they weren't laboring on the construction of what is now modern-day Concordia. The weak enclosure of Banville proved to be insufficient, allowing a mass escape of convicts who infiltrated the Concordia CBD through parklands, resulting in the assassination of free settlers and the demise of prominent figures from the Riverina Settlement Company and the colonial administration.

In response to the continuous threat of convict raids, wealthier settlers ventured 20km east to establish Kingmont, now Concordia's affluent outer suburb nestled at the foot of the hills. However, the relentless attacks persisted, prompting Sir Samuel Playford to lead a pioneering expedition eastward in search of safer lands, under the premise that no convict would travel 170 miles simply to raid a settlement. The party, comprising 300 individuals, reached the Mullumbidgee River in 1806, where they decided to settle. The strategic location offered a natural bottleneck for defense against convict raids.

A rickety bridge was erected across the river, facilitating the safe passage of settlers. The journey continued, and the party eventually reached the springs on the other side of the Mallee Scrublands, where the town of Playford was founded. However, the discovery of gold just 2km to the east led to the rapid rise of a new town called Eureka. Over time, Eureka eclipsed Playford, absorbing it into its metropolitan area and establishing itself as a prominent urban center.

The maritime influence on Riverina State expanded with the emergence of Fleming Harbour, a crucial whaling and fishing port connected to Eureka by rail. This harbor town provided an alternate seafaring route for Concordia until the colonial authorities intervened. The return of control from the convicts led to the implementation of the Harmony Scheme, ensuring equal rights for convicts, free settlers, and Indigenous populations.

Battle of Eureka and Convict Incursion
In 1816, Riverina State faced an unexpected challenge as convicts, defying common expectations, navigated the treacherous bush track that constituted the original highway. This narrow, challenging path, accommodating only one horse in each direction or requiring careful navigation on foot, was deemed an unlikely route for raids due to its difficulty and remoteness. However, the resourcefulness of the convicts proved formidable as they successfully traversed the terrain, utilizing guerrilla tactics to strike settlements along the way.

The culmination of the convict incursion occurred at the Battle of Eureka. Despite the settlers' confidence in their fortifications and the natural barrier presented by the Mullumbidgee River, a determined group of convicts breached the defenses. The strategically positioned Mullumbidgee Bridge fortifications, over 100 miles west of Eureka, were intended as a formidable barrier, but the convicts showcased adaptability and endurance. The battle ensued, resulting in significant losses on both sides, but the settlers ultimately emerged victorious.

The Battle of Eureka underscored the need for increased vigilance and improved defenses. It also challenged assumptions about the limits of convict mobility. This pivotal event in Riverina State's history contributed to the settlers' resilience, prompting a reassessment of security measures and ultimately leading to a more secure and stable future for the burgeoning region.

Riverina Freedom Act
The hard-fought victory in the Battle of Eureka played a pivotal role in the restoration of harmony and the enactment of the Freedom Act in Riverina State. The settlers, having successfully repelled the convict incursion, recognized the need for a comprehensive and inclusive approach to governance to prevent future conflicts and ensure the region's stability.

In the aftermath of the battle, key leaders, inspired by the resilience displayed by both settlers and convicts, initiated a series of dialogues aimed at fostering unity and equal rights. The Freedom Act, drafted in the spirit of reconciliation, became the cornerstone of this effort. Enacted to ensure that convicts, free settlers, and Indigenous people enjoyed equal rights and opportunities, the act marked a significant departure from previous divisive policies.

The provisions of the Freedom Act included legal reforms, land distribution initiatives, and the establishment of representative bodies that provided a platform for diverse voices to be heard in the decision-making process. This inclusive approach aimed to address historical grievances, promote social cohesion, and lay the foundation for a more harmonious society.

The act also paved the way for the return of control from the colonial authorities, leading to a more autonomous and self-governing Riverina State. The newfound unity and sense of shared purpose revitalized the nation, fostering economic growth, cultural exchange, and innovation.

Over time, the Freedom Act proved instrumental in shaping Riverina State into a strong and resilient nation. The principles of equality and justice embedded in the act contributed to a society where individuals from all walks of life could thrive. The lessons learned from the Battle of Eureka and the subsequent enactment of the Freedom Act became integral to the state's identity, symbolizing the triumph of unity over division and the restoration of a harmonious and robust nation.

Government and Politics
Governance in Riverina aligns with the parliamentary democracy framework of the Federal Commonwealth of Deodeca, guided by its own constitution. Authority is vested in the legislative assembly and John Parsnip, the state governor. The state is known for its unwavering legislative practices and vigilant administrative conduct in ensuring the advancement of both its populace and natural endowments.

On 1 January 2024, the government of Riverina announced the State Cycling Action Plan (SCAP) which would include the creation of a new department in the Riverina State Building dedicated to transforming Riverina's city plan for the future, including controlled-access roads, an increase in cycleways, new public transportation options and the construction of a new 'green suburb' to the south to create more housing supply.
Economy
Riverina's economy is multifaceted, with robust sectors like mining, agriculture, and tourism. The state capital is a nucleus for innovation and trade, with [insert industry or product here] being one of its primary exports. Wine production is particularly significant, drawing parallels to South Australia's well-known wine industry. Renewable energy is an emerging powerhouse, aligning with Deodecan environmental goals.
Culture
Cultural vibrancy is an epitome of Riverina, mirrored in its fervent festivals, indigenous traditions, and flourishing arts scene. The state is home to numerous museums, galleries, and theaters that form an integral part of Deodecan cultural identity.
| intro = The Principality of Kinglavia (Kanglapolish: ᥐᥤᥒᥞᥣᥐᥗᥤᥐᥣᥢ) is a landlocked sovereign microstate in Northern Archanta. Bordered by the Bai Empire to the north and west and Kanglapo to the south and east, it is one of the smallest nations in the world at only 458.85 km². Most of the country is forested and mountainous, with the main population centre and capital being Kingkatcheong. Kinglavia is an absolute monarchy led by the House of Jin.

The Katayan Tribe of King settled in the frontier mountains between Bai and Kanglapo in 500 BC. During the Lin-Surian Wars, the Katayan rebels led by Jin Sut fled to the mountains. Proclaiming himself Prince Jin of King, he established the present principality in 1624. Due to the hostile terrain and self-imposed isolation, Kinglavia remained outside of Surian and Bai control for the next 300 years. It gained official independence from Communist Kanglapo through the Satyong Treaty in 1921. Despite recent economic reforms, Kinglavia remains one of the world's least developed countries but is often praised for its efforts to preserve its culture, heritage and natural habitats.
