=== Prehistory ===
The first reliable source of human presence dates back to around 2300BC when some drawings been found in 1980 on the rocks of a cliff near Pought. However probably the territory was inhabited by humans at least since 3000BC.
=== Tribes ===
The first tribes formed around 1850BC in the location of some of today's biggest cities: Lavroug, Corem, Zedela, Pegnem and Kudaraus. The southern part was more peaceful and less subject to wars between factions.
==== Cedelis ====
In 1700BC the Cedelis tribe, the most relevant of the region, had an extension from Venitra to Corem and the sea, this allowed the tribe to gain power in the area and respect of several other small tribes, which eventually decided to merge with the Cedelis, which had a defined social and economical structure. Around 1550BC the Cedelis started to expand to west, however they got attacked by a foreign tribe, the Goniards, located around Gurgenen, which defeated the Cedelis.
==== Goniard ====
The Goniard tribe (Goniards), in 1420BC, controlled the whole northern territory, organised in cities with each its autonomy. This kind of approach needed more control over territories without any town, so they founded several towns which nowadays are Daste, Guretu, Tureu, Levta, Overgon and Senoegvt, all located next to the Gon River, an important communication road for the citizens.
The society was divided between the farmers, fishers and hunters, which formed the highest floor of the society; and the slaves, which were anyone else. The non-slaves had the possibility to enter in the politics, which was a very respected role.
The political organisation included a single "national commander", which was preselected with inheritance; and the "town commanders", which was a single person elected every 5 years from the national commander.
=== Tor Empire ===
Around early 400BC we have testimonials about a significant presence of people where nowadays Tor is. This presence is proved thanks to the drawings and the "Turutu" drawings, the language spoken in the city. Approximately, the city of Tor had an expansion from [https://opengeofiction.net/node/288859231 Toretto], to [https://opengeofiction.net/node/288859233 Lat] with 15 000-25 000 citizens in its territory.
The social organisation of the town was funded on equity values, most of the decisions were taken within all citizens and was mostly a peaceful town.

Due to the exposure to the tropical oceans and winds and the topographic location of the country, the territory is often hit by hurricanes and windstorms. The most hit region is the one of [https://opengeofiction.net/relation/326822 Londu], where some areas in the northern side can get up to 500mm of rain in few days.

The presence of railway in the land of Tamor begins during the early XX century when the Ingerish colonialists needed to find an efficient and fast way to transport goods between the sawmill industries in the Vapolet Valley and the main cities.

Capital: Incubel

Loading map...

Tamor, officially the Republic of Tamor, is a small sovereign country in North East Antarephia, bordering with AN134g and San Marcos. The country, with its 19 030km² of surface, touches the southern part of the "Mar of Garona".

Etymology

The origin of the name "Tamor" probably comes from the "Torians", founders of the town of Tor.

History

Prehistory

The first reliable source of human presence dates back to around 2300BC when some drawings been found in 1980 on the rocks of a cliff near Pought. However probably the territory was inhabited by humans at least since 3000BC.

Tribes

The first tribes formed around 1850BC in the location of some of today's biggest cities: Lavroug, Corem, Zedela, Pegnem and Kudaraus. The southern part was more peaceful and less subject to wars between factions.

Cedelis

In 1700BC the Cedelis tribe, the most relevant of the region, had an extension from Venitra to Corem and the sea, this allowed the tribe to gain power in the area and respect of several other small tribes, which eventually decided to merge with the Cedelis, which had a defined social and economical structure. Around 1550BC the Cedelis started to expand to west, however they got attacked by a foreign tribe, the Goniards, located around Gurgenen, which defeated the Cedelis.

Goniard

Tor Empire

Around early 400BC we have testimonials about a significant presence of people where nowadays Tor is. This presence is proved thanks to the drawings and the "Turutu" drawings, the language spoken in the city. Approximately, the city of Tor had an expansion from Toretto, to Lat with 15 000-25 000 citizens in its territory.

The social organisation of the town was funded on equity values, most of the decisions were taken within all citizens and was mostly a peaceful town.

Due to the exposure to the tropical oceans and winds and the topographic location of the country, the territory is often hit by hurricanes and windstorms. The most hit region is the one of Londu, where some areas in the northern side can get up to 500mm of rain in few days.

Seismic Activity

Geology

Flood risk is very high in most of the territory, especially along rivers and coast. The most fragile cities are Corem, which is located below sea level, and Tor, which is often hit by torrential rainfall and hurricanes.

Due to the often directional change of the river "Tarus", the city of Pegnem is getting several problems with the urban management.
