Basketball

Basketball is the second most popular sport in the city.

There is one basketball team in the city, the Baía Azul Arsenal, named, obviously, after the strong military presence in the city and its history. Plays in the Ginásio Municipal, near downtown. Is one of the most traditional ones in Brasonia and the Gran Luslandese league, winning 10 titles since 1990.

Gridiron

Baía Azul Maximum
Gridiron is not the most popular sport in the city region, but the Baía Azul Maximum get more supporters each season. Plays in currently Arena Maximum since 2015. Before this date, shared the Estádio General Souza with the football/soccer teams.

Its official colours area Blue and Gold. The team's main sponsor is BST - Banco do Sul da Taréfia, one of the most important banks in Brasonia.

People from Baía Azul loves motorsports. Be it by stock car, trucks, pick ups or bikes, be it sprint, drift or a race. But there was not any raceway in the city before 2010. That year, was finally opened the Autódromo Regional de Baía Azul. in the island, in a special area between the international airport and the military area, under concession of the provincial government. It is an important racepark, with two raceways in the same complex, one of them is an oval one. This way, the racepark is able to host several competitions during the season.

Also there is a sprint raceway in a not so noble area of the city.
