History

First settlements

Historical flag of Gran Luslandia. The stars represent the three countries.
The first evidences of civilized occupation in Gran Luslandia region are about 1495. Ships from Florescenta companies, lost in storms, reached the coast in actual Alcântara in 1495, possibly after passing through Latina, creating a village there in the same year. In 1502, the ship "Poutník 1", from Slavonia, reaches the current Slovech coast, in Belgravia, and settled this coast, but due to a strong economic crisis, gradually this colony was almost abandoned.

At the other side of the land, after a prosperity period, the Florescenta people that was landed in atual Luslandia and decided to create a reign. Gelson I was acclaimed the first king of Luslandia in 1506. During the reign of his son, Afonso I, the colony got expanded to highlands and the rest of the coast, reaching current Brasonia and creating new cities on these areas and joining the indigenous people that was living there. In 1570, the luslandeses reached the old slavonian colony in Slovech, almost empty, and conquered the small city.

Differences between the countries

These marches helps to explain the historical diferences between the people in Gran-Luslandia.

The Slavonians had noticed that the land Belgravia was not as good for agriculture, so most of the settlers prefered returning to their homeland. Anyway, some of the first slavonian settlers remained in Belgravia.

It was not long until the settlers from Luslandia also realize the same about the landuse, and did not give much more importance to the lands on this side of the country.

The War of Separation, and Cariocas discovery

By 1720, started in the Brasonia province a separatist movement against Luslandia. Discussions for independence began but the central power in Alcantara was not considering to lose territories. In 1722 began the War of Separation.

As soon as the war began, destroying most of the villages in Brasonia and some cities in Luslandia, the civil people looks for refuge. From Campo Verde port, went a ship crowded with refugees (mostly brasonians, but also luslandeses), the "Lone Star," which came to "discover" the Cariocas Islands in 1723. Tired of the war, they was welcome by indigenous people, and decided peacefully found a mixed colony, with no connection to the united Gran-Luslandia or the "independent-to-be" Brasonia.

In 1724 the war finished with the victory of brasonians. The weakened central power in Luslandia had no way of maintaining control over the Belgravia, where had also received many refugees during this period. (TBD)
