Hamabaurgs (map) is a town in southern West Commonia. Currently having slightly more than 100,000 residents, it is the capital of the province of Hamaland, a region of West Commonia inhabited by a people known as the Wiscothans, whose Wiscothic language is relatively closely related to such languages as Ingerish or Germish. The settlement was founded several centuries ago, although for the most part of its history, it was nothing more than a suburb of Tetwos, which used to be the major business centre in the region until the 17th century. In the 19th century, after a period of economic decline, Hamabaurgs gained importance and steadily outgrew Tetwos until it absorbed the latter. Large parts of Tetwos were destroyed to create the Hamabaurgs harbour area and the Braiþa Brugja (Puente Largo) to Triada.
