The Jørpen Islands are a territory of the country of Zylanda. The islands are located in the west of the southern part of the continent of Archanta. On the islands live 183.509 people (census 2013).
The Islands have a wide range of autonomy. To the parlament of Zylanda the islands send 4 members and 1 to the senate of Zylanda. The government of the islands - the Ollthing - has 101 members.
The flag shows two feathers of the Joerpengoose (Anser joerpical) and left above a small version of the flag of Zylanda. That is the reason, the islands have their name: the call "joerp!, joerp!" of the goose.

Oeconomics
The harbour of Jørp is an important station in the south of the Central Ocean at the way to the southcoast of Archanta. Since 1912 the Canal of Mecyna was opened, the importance of the harbour of Jørp at the island become lesser. Therefore 1956 a factory of the Great Copper, Bronce and Brass Company (CBBC) was founded at the main island for the market in Southwest-Archanta.
