The Kaosha Same Nation (Gleiches Land Kaosha), previously Maessigerland(1965-2018) and Elutheria(before 1965), is a sovereign state located on the continent of Antarephia, with the capital city being Reinstadt. The people in Kaosha usually refer to their nation as either Kaosha, Elutheria or Kaosha; the official name Gleiches Land is reserved only for official or formal uses. International community often go by the name of Kaosha, for its shortness and easiness of pronunciation. The official language of the nation is Meilanese and Gaerman, both language are respected equally and taught in public schools. Nevertheless, Meilanese is more prevalent in the central government and western prefectures, and Gaerman is usually the only official language of local governments in the east.

Kaosha is well known for its quantitative petroleum export, heavy investments in fishing and agriculture, and is a major competitor of banking, information technologies, media and fashion designs in the region.

The word Elutheria is most common used by Elutherian and Baascherian communities. It was used as the official name of the country before the 1965 Reformation. The word Elutheria is derived from the language of Eganian, meaning "freedom."

Although the word Kaosha (Mäßigerland) was coined in 1300s, earlier than Elutheria, it was not until after the 1965 Reformation that the country had officially adapted the name. The word essentially means "the modest and middle land" in Gaerman.

Gleiches Land

Perhaps the most interesting etymology of the country would be the word "Gleiches Land," the word for "same country" in Gaerman. Gleiches Land has been a native way for Kaoshanians to refer to their homeland since the introduction of Gaerman in the region. Back then, the communication between 2 Kaoshanians would be like:

A: Where are you come from? (Woher kommen Sie?)

B: The same country as you! (Der gleiche land als sie!)

The word Kaosha was coined up in 2018, when the country decided to go by the name of Gleiches Land. In order to avoid confusion among the Garmanic states, the Knesset decided to also adapt an another name for the nation. The word Kao comes from the Emperor Kao, the ruling monarch of Kaosha. Sha means sand, or in this case, soil, so basically Kaosha means "Kao's Soil."

According to archeology findings, the first human settlement could be traced back to 9,000 B.C., in nowadays Kresisleriana Island, Zento. Although exactly where and how the settlers got there is still a mystery, most scholars agree that they are the ancestors of today’s Baascher Natives.

The broken bones and cracked skulls suggest that the early Baascher tribes were not peaceful. In fact, when the Gaermanspracher merchants arrived at Kresisleriana in 1496, they are so terrified by the practices of the natives that they wrote “the people, and the land is so barbaric… They don’t have the idea of country, nor honour… You don’t see wars every year, or every months, but every week… Often will a tribe go hunt for some other tribes’ head, meanwhile yet another tribe comes and raided their homes even before they got back… Children have no father, women and men have no spouse, farmlands have no owners.’’’ The record was brought back to Gaermansprachig, and as a result of the description, for almost 200 years there had been no party that is brave enough to step its foot on the island.

It was not until 1671 when the second Gaermanspracher fleets arrived. They soonly defeated the native tribes with superior cannons and guns, and established the colony of Neues Eshein (today’s Fuchsrot).

Kaosha had its first population boom in 1790-1830, known as the ‘’’Meilane Welle’’’ (Meilanese Wave). Caused by the massive and bloody military conflicts between Commonians and the Ingerishs in the nowadays northern Meilan region. Estimated around 160,000 Meilanese seeked refuge in Kaosha. They mostly settled in today’s Nanjung and Mittelland region.

Railways in Kaosha are the dominate means of transportation, especially for inter-coast communications. Gleiches-Landliche Bahn, or simply K-Bahn (K for Kaosha) is the owner of all Kaoshanian railway lines, it is owned by the Monarch and run by a board appointed by the Knesset.

Regional services, like subways, are mostly Monarch-owned, too. The subway in Handelshafen is HAUT or HAUT-Bahn, and the reference for the subway in L'Ort is PRT.
