Laguna is a small country located in North-eastern Archanta. It is a very diverse country due to it's location. the northern parts contain many sprawling forests and rolling hills whilst the Southern part is more deserted. The country also has distinct housing designs and features, and is being called "a gem of a country" By geographers and geologists across the world due it it's unusual climates, which can even spawn sub-climates. the capital of Laguna is Laguna City, with about 1,500,000 people. It is also the largest city in the country.

Laguna was colonized in the early 1500's by Explorers from Uletha, Antarephia and Tarephia looking for new civilizations across the recently discovered Archantan continent, and also looking to expand into the east later on. In 1511, Explorers settled in Laguna after travelling across the desert and finding the McCalister Oasis. More explorers settled as time passed. In 1588, The Laguna Traders Outpost (LTO) was founded and had outposts on the West and East, named accordingly as the West and East Laguna Traders Outpost (WLTO and ELTO). In the mid 1600's, explorers started to leave Laguna, and saw a sudden rise in aboriginal lands. Sadly, it was short-lived because Explorers ended the 14 year decolonization in 1671. The explorers remained in Laguna until 1878, where they lost interest and left. Some diplomatic explorers remained there until the founding of Laguna in 1896. From 1901-1917, Laguna saw it's Industrial Revolution with more machinery and people flocking to the country, raising population from the 1896 figure of ~500,000 to nearly 11 million! From 1917 to 1956, Laguna slowly declined in population, until 1957, when a sudden population skyrocket occured due to migrants from developing countries flocked to Laguna with their unborn and already born children, and increased the fertility rate in laguna from 3.25 babies/ woman to 6.5 babies/ woman, which in turn increased the population to 17 million. Many of these people had no place to go, and were living in dense slums, dropping Laguna's GDP And HDI drastically. Thankfully, a study showed that by 1987, the GDP and HDI returned to the 1956 figure, and population was on a declining trend also. Laguna currently sits with a population of 3.3 million and decent GDP and HDI indexes.

The default Telephone number starting code given out to citizens and select businesses is +641. Each province has area codes from 001-999, and each area hosts 9,998 people (0001-9999). An example standard Phone number would be (641)-231-6232. In each area, numbers 0001-0015 are reserved for important amenities, such as non-emergency police numbers, Fire Department contacts and more. If there aren't 15 of them in that area, businesses will take over the rest. Important businesses and government numbers start with +1 641. These can be customized at request. (e.g 1-641-329-ZOOM (0555).) These numbers are reserved for government amenities, and businesses that meet the criteria.

Climate and Nature

Laguna's climate is very diverse, and is currently being studied by geographers and geologists worldwide. Laguna has such unusual nature diversity that it actually spawns sub-climates withing the country, which allows the north-south temperature difference to differ by 15-20 degrees usually, but in such extremes, It may vary up to 35 degrees between the stretch. this has only happened 2 times during the studies, however it's likely that this has happened up to 25 times during colonization and civilization periods in Laguna. In the North, there are sprawling forests, rivers and rolling hills. In the east we have fairly flat prairies, West has savannas, the centre is fairly wet, whilst the south west is filled with deserts, and the prairie trend continues into the south-east.
