Loravia (Litvanian language: Lorava, Gaerman: Lorrau, Escadian: Lossburg, Egalian: Lurrain) is the capital of Litvania. With a population of around 500 thousand, it is one of the smaller capitals in Uletha, but nonetheless the largest in the country. The greater metropolitan area is home to more than 600,000 people. It straddles both banks of the Lorava river.
Loravia is located in west-central Litvania, within the Loravia Region. The city is on the 54th paralell north. The Lorava river flows in through the northwest and flows out down south. Loravia is divided into 7 urban districts, Staré mesto, Petravka, Michalka, Nové mesto, Stredmestie, Zlaté terasy, and Niva. Each has their own local council, the representatives of which compose the Loravia City Council.
The Old Town is located on the TBD hill with an elevation of 120m a.s.l. The northern and western districts are also hilly, with an average elevation of 100m. On the northernmost point of the Michalka district are the foothills of the Vesníky Mountains, which extend 60km northward and end near Valaškonice.
Public transport is provided by DPL, a city owned enterprise. It employs buses, trams, and trolleybuses as a means of transport. It also offers train and coach links to other points near the city.
