Majesia, officially the Sultanate of Majanegara (Maja/Melayish: Kesultanan Majanegara (ꦏꦺꦱꦸꦭ꧀ꦠꦤꦤ꧀ ꦩꦗꦤꦺꦒꦫ) is a country in North Archanta. It borders the nation of Krajanesia in the north, Wallea in the south, and Castilea Archantea in the east. The country’s size is 457,572.95 km2. Majapura is the national capital and the largest city is Rajapura. Majesia is one of the megadiverse countries, home to a number of endemic species. Majesia is a constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy.
Original Maja people migrated from southern Uletha to mainland Archanta from the 2nd century. Various foreign and local kingdoms ruled the region with being the most powerful and the notable one was Majesian Empire in the 14th century. The region has been regularly visited by Southern Ulethan people who bring the Ulethan religion ever since the 10th century, which creates Dharmapala religion that is native to Majesia, with a mix of several Ulethan religion. Majesian Empire reached its peak during King Adhirawangi’s reign (1385-1438) and gradually declining thereafter until being ultimately destroyed by the smaller Imani sultanate that established in the city ruins of Rajhapur. This fragmented local smaller kingdoms and unified Imani sultanate formed what is until now called the Sultanate of Majesia in 1605. The sultanate chose Majapura to be their capital and ruled by the first monarch called the Sulaimani dynasty.
The country is multi-ethnic and multi-cultural. About more than half of the population is ethnically Maja, with large minorities of Bai and indigenous peoples. While recognizing Iman as the country's established religion, the constitution grants freedom of religion to non-Imani. The government modeled on the parliamentary system and the legal system is based on common law. The head of state is a monarch (Sultan) while the head of government is the Prime Minister.
Majesia is classified as a newly industrialized economy; manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism are leading sectors of the economy. It is a member of CARECU and several other international organizations.
