Ancient Ncadia (~1100 BCE - 100 CE)
Early Settlement(before 600 BCE)
Known human presence on the islands dates back to around 1050 BC. It is theorized that the first settlers migrated from modern-day Gara and Liria around this time. Some pottery and tablets found south of Menheroheto(Lake Menhero) lends credit to idea that the ancient Ncadians were prominent merchants and explorers at the time in the area, though to what extent the merchants traded is unknown. It is known that they likely traded for iron, using delicacies, like Ponyasja( a mild wine-like drink) and Lemórizú(a special rice dish) and there was some philosophical trade as well. The location of the tablets was the ancient town of Rahesó 2 miles south of modern-day Lonózhúhzitó’e(The Old Site) in Ncakjana, indicating that it was a trading center for the archipelago with other regional civilizations. The rest of the archipelago was agrarian.
The First Kingdoms (~600 BCE - 102 CE)
The city of Rahesó began to tax its inhabitants for protection from pirates and local peacekeeping efforts around 600 BCE. It began taxing nearby agrarian villages around 500 BCE in exchange for protection from raiders from the north. When Rahesós tried to extend its reach further in 400 BCE. , the newer subjects retaliated violently as they saw no allegiance for who they saw as a foreign king. This retaliation resulted in the Ínadaópótéya, the time period that occurred between the east NN villages/ Rahesós and their Tijyó allies to the east and the other villages in a space of time between 370 and 150 BCE in which short wars were fought almost every other year. The people who lived on the east and center of Nadaó Nazého and Rahesós were called Tórolist Nadaómainho(The takers of the archipelago) by the other tribes. They became the Nantórizamai, or the Nanto. Around 150 BCE, the king of Rahesós, Decoferas, ended the fighting during the Mcocimis, by retracting his claim over the northern islands. The era of peace that followed was the S’igirolimaje Cé(The First Peace). It lasted until around 97 CE when the king Hreslamús died without an heir. The northern denizens of the archipelago remained a loose collection of villages throughout this era until 130 CE when the settlement of Penetekes formed a structured union between itself and other villages on the island which now shares its name.
Yasríasmús Era (150 - 260)
The absence of a king in Rahesós led to the kingdom falling into a civil war which lasted until 150. The winner was the Yasríans family from Menhrikís, a port town north of Rahesós. The new Nanto king, Yastras, sought to expand his empire eastward into Tijí territory, which had broken off during the civil war
The population of Ncadia was around 1.8 million in 2018, with 72% living in urban areas. The median age in Ncadia is 38. Within Ncadia are three major ethnic groups. The Nanto, the Ritane, and the Itulló.
The official language of Ncadia is Dematína. It is a mostly isolated language with some Romantish influence from interaction with the Castellanese in the last millenium.
There are two major religions in Ncadia. 99.7% of Ncadians are a member of the Demanú religion. 2% of these Ncadians are members of the Ncadian Orthodox Christicism denomination. 60% of Ncadians are atheistic.
Demanú is an ethnic religion. It is believed to have originated during the Prosperous period of the First Kingdom and is tied to the Ncadian ethnicity. While some of its members are polytheistic, the religion itself is not intrinsically tied to those gods. Even the theistic Demanúst believe that they exist, but largely do not intervene in human life unless humans stray too far from the Ncadyúkícis order. The atheistic Demanúst believe that maintaining Ncadyúkícis is fundamental to keeping society intact. Demanúst believe that Ncadyúkícis is the state of maintaining a balance between the Óníbcúst, the six virtues of order, and the Ónípak’st, the six virtues of chaos.

The Ncadian military is not remarkably large, but is efficient for its size. The active military is mostly navy and airforce for defense and anti-piracy. There are also some small special forces units for other purposes and a reserve military of the same size.
