Province Rio Bravo

Flag province Rio Bravo

The province of Rio Bravo in Latina has the name from the river. So dynamic as the river is the imaginaire moving of the yellow and blue sectors of this flag. Red and white is for the city of Guvillion, the calme pole at the riverside. This flag was created 1987, as the former provinces Givullion and Valle los Liebres are united to the new province, roundabout 500 km long.

Greatest town and capital is Givullion with 855 720 inhabitants.

  • motorway # 5 (Latina - northern boundary to Tamarindia, # 16 (Cordoba - Mendoza - Givullion - Topahappan) and # 25 (Saguset - Schneewittchen - Givullion - Lupo Blanco and to the northern boundary). Til 1962 Givullion had a motrway as a branch from motorway # 6 (now part of motorway # 16)
  • AVE-hi-speed railway = line # 5 (Latina - La Rodilla - Givullion - Lupo Blanco) and line # 11 (Mendoza - Dugando - Givullion - Topahappan)
  • Airport = regional airport Givullion.

Geography

River valleys near Givullion

Parallel lines of mountains give the structure of the landscape. The rivers Rio San Giovanni and Rio Bravo flow parallel to the south to the Rio Norte - at Givullion only few kilometers between them. The city of Givullion lays in a small valley, to the right and to the left the hills, which are the watershed.

The Rio Bravo came from the thousands lakes of the province Mil Ojes, the Rio San Giovanni takes the water of the northern part of the province. So in this sight the Rio San Giovanni ist the significant river of most parts of the province.
