Shadze-Ma Geographic and Topographic Survey (Shadze-Ma GTS or SM-GTS) was a cartographic survey carried out between 1971 and 1986 by the people of Shadze-Ma. It covered the whole of the Shadze-Ma Archipelago. The survey involved a small team of military and professional surveyors who established triangulation points on every island on the group. The survey data was originally available only as paper maps. The dataset was slowly digitised in the 21st century, finally becoming available on-line in early 2016.
