I've been working for a bit on developing a draft plan for long-distance passenger rail services throughout the FSA, and I think it's finally ready to be presented for discussion. In creating this draft plan I've been trying to work with various stateowners to accommodate requests, and there's still flexibility here to make additional changes if needed, so if there are additional comments please feel free to use this forum thread or reach out to me directly. If other mappers want to try their hand at creating an alternate plan, I wholeheartedly encourage them to put together a proposal of their own so we can discuss the merits of each different vision and idea. Also interested in brand names for the system; "National Rail" is used just as a placeholder. The schedules use the four half-hour time zones previously discussed in another thread (with the understanding that those are not final and are subject to change).
Here's a map of the routes. There are ten routes drafted with a total of 52 daily trains (nine routes and 50 trains have draft schedules); on the vast majority of the system, trains would only run once or twice a day, not entirely dissimilar to Amtrak's long-distance trains in the U.S.
