i'm trying to make a wiki article about my fictional programming language. but when I preview the article the infobox doesn't want to show up! I tried using the country infobox template but it only showed the logo of my programming language. anyone is willing to reply please do!

But how does your programming language show up on a map? I think that writing about it would fall under OGF:Overwikification. Think of the Wiki as an addition to the map, that means to describe things that are created in the mapping editor, and not opposite. Instead of making an article about the language, what about creating a company that develops it. You can write about the language in a subsection on the company's page AND map it's offices in the world! As for the infobox, as far as I'm concerned there isn't such an infobox. Mostly because it's not needed here. If you copied an infobox from Wikipedia it won't work here, unless you make it so (which sadly I can't help you in). But still, Overwikification.

It's not really overwikification. To be honest, it feels like people try too hard to enforce that rule in some areas.
