The Suursaari Metro (Eelandese: Suursaaren metro) is a rapid transit system serving Suursaari, Eelanti. The system has seven daytime lines and one night line. First line was opened on 3 July 1935 between Keskustapuisto and Vanhasaari (part of M1 line).

Line M1 (Green Line)

Line M1-A

Line M1-A operates from Koillispää to Huvikumpu. It has 19 stations. It takes about 38 minutes to travel from Koillispää to Huvikumpu.

Line M1-B

Line M1-B operates from Keskussatama (Central Harbour) to Kaukamaa. It has 18 stations. It takes about 35 minutes to travel from Keskussatama to Kaukamaa.

Operation

The Line M1-A operates daily (weekdays from 5:00 to 1:00 (next day), weekends from 6:00 to 0:00).

The Line M1-B operates daily (weekdays from 5:30 to 0:30 (next day), weekends from 6:30 to 23:30).

Line M2 (Red Line)

Line M2-A

Line M2-A operates from Purola to Kärki. It has 20 stations. It takes about 37 minutes to travel from Purola to Kärki.

Line M2-B

Line M2-B operates from Suursaaren luonnonpuisto to Niemisaari. It has 19 stations. It takes about 36 minutes to travel from Suursaaren luonnonpuisto to Niemisaari.

Operation

The Line M2-A operates daily (weekdays from 5:15 to 1:00 (next day), weekends from 6:00 to 0:00).

The Line M2-B operates daily (weekdays from 5:30 to 0:45 (next day), weekends from 6:15 to 23:45).

Line M3 (Blue Line)

Line M3-A

Line M3-A operates from Niemenranta to Salmisaari. It has 25 stations. It takes about 49 minutes to travel from Niemenranta to Salmisaari.

Line M3-B

Line M3-B operates from Moottorikylä to Puroniitty. It has 20 stations. It takes about 37 minutes to travel from Moottorikylä to Puroniitty.

Line M4 (Circle Line)

Line M4 is a circle line, which supports other lines. It's terminus is Länsikeskus. Travelling the length of the line takes about 34 minutes.

Operation

The Line M4 operates daily (weekdays from 6:00 to 0:15 (next day), weekends from 6:30 to 23:45).

Line M5 (Purple Line)

Line M5 operates from Länsikeskus to Keskussatama (Central Harbour). It has 15 stations. It takes about 22 minutes to travel from Länsikeskus to Keskussatama.

Operation

The Line M5 operates daily (weekdays from 5:30 to 0:45 (next day), weekends from 6:00 to 0:30 (next day)).

Line M6 (Yellow Line)

Line M6-A

Line M6-A operates from Mutkankulma to Kurkela (or Niemennokka). It has 23 (or 25) stations. It takes about 43 minutes to travel from Mutkankulma to Kurkela and 47 minutes to travel from Mutkankulma to Kurkela.

Line M6-B

Line M6-B operates from Korukivi to Saareke (or Pohjoisranta). It has 22 (or 25) stations. It takes about 42 minutes to travel from Korukivi to Saareke and 49 minutes to travel from Korukivi to Pohjoisranta.

Operation

Shorter versions of the lines are the normal ones.

The longer versions of the lines are operated at following times:

- weekdays: 5:45-7:00 and 20:00-0:30

- Saturdays: 6:00-8:30 and 19:00-0:00

- Sundays

Line M7 (Brown Line)

Line M7 operates from Pohjoisranta to Niemennokka. It has 10 stations. It takes about 19 minutes to travel from Pohjoisranta to Niemennokka.

Operation

The Line M7 operates six days a week (weekdays from 7:00 to 20:00, Saturdays from 8:30 to 19:00).

Line M8 (Night Line)

Line M8 operates from Länsikeskus to Etelä. It has 17 stations. It takes about 30 minutes to travel from Länsikeskus to Etelä.

The line uses the tracks of lines M1, M2, M3, M4 and M5 and some connecting tunnels to move from one line's tracks to another line's ones.

Operation

The Line M8 operates every night (weekdays from 1:00 to 6:00, weekends from 0:45 to 6:00).
