Hi, people. User:BMSOUZA here.

Formerly, in TA018, user User:TheHolyEpicpenguin created Gamen. As known, in the time I start this sandbox, Gamen was a OGF:"Lost" countries, but with well mapped features - and as Tarephia coordinator, I would like to give sequence of these things. Not as "a new owner" (I can not do it), but coordinating and opening the territory to other users who would like to detail it.

As this is not Gamen anymore, some details will remain from Gameni times, other things will change a lot. Well, this sandbox is here to debate and explain it.

Both the mapping style and the former gameni history looks like a maghrebian country, and it would fit so very well in the northern Tarephia concept I have in mind as continental coordinator. Translating to a real world concept - an arabic country with a strong latin-european presence. Well, not to be a perfect copy from Marrocos or Algeria, and also considering castellanese presence in the neighborhood (Pohenicia, Targueral), looks like castellanese is better than franquese here.

So, the main word to collaborators here is detailing!. Yes, some cities and towns still needs to be created (lets talk about it, before doing it), so much are only nodes in the map, but also take a look in the mapped areas, those needing retails, houses, places of worship, schools... can you help us?

Another important point: no one is owner of a city or town. There is coordination, but everyone is able to edit everywhere.

Also important to mention: Do not map in english. Serionic (arabic conlang) and Castellanese (spanish) are better, as explained in the next topics. English language, please use only to create references ("future museum", "future oil refinery", etc) -- BMSOUZA (talk) 18:05, 29 April 2019 (CEST)

Please, use the Pan Arab Colours (as seen in in the proposals, even considering Albalad Siriun is NOT a "New Mazan".

Economy, infrastructure, landscape

The Albalad Siriun economy, highly based in Petrol production, is not so open to international companies.



Big airports, only in Haez and Idnah. Other cities can have small airports, but please be reallistic before creating aerodromes in close towns. -- BMSOUZA (talk) 18:05, 29 April 2019 (CEST)



There is no need to create more motorways/ trunk roads/ primary roads. User:TheHolyEpicpenguin created a good and realistic roads grid.

The only cargo ports in Albalad Siriun are located in Puerto Vakopu. Cities like Haez, Port Damescu and Jawan can have ports but only to passenger usage (to Albalad Siriun islands), not to heavy cargo. -- BMSOUZA (talk) 14:51, 21 May 2019 (CEST)

Foreigner Relations

As wrote, Albalad Siriun is not a so much democratic place. So, would be not usual creating a lot of embassies in Haez, or to Albalad Siriun in a lot of countries. Think well why your country would keep relations with Albalad Siriun before asking for embassies or sibling cities.

Languages, Ethnicity, Religion, Culture

Albalad Siriun speaks the not so well defined Serionic Language - a conlang, sounding like a mix of mazanic (arab) and turquese, but not necessarily using real words from these languages.

Is needed a small word list, only to name features in the map - we do not need to create verbs in mapping.

User's Progress


  • Right now, I am focused in duplicating some main roads in Haez, and detailing that downtown -- BMSOUZA (talk) 18:05, 29 April 2019 (CEST)
  • Detailing sports grounds, tram rails and some main road main junctions within Haez urban area. Looking for the ideal place to the National University and some main hospitals without substantial changes in the current street grid. Richest and "international" area will be in eastern Haez.   • Still need detailing the tram rails and stations in the old Downtown. But now, there is a National Stadium in eastern Haez, exactly close to the "international area", with embassies, hotels and some expensive comercial areas. Still in this part of the city, was created the Portal Serionic Towers. Not one of the tallest in the OGF-World, but nice gemini towers with an elevated pedestrian passage, like a portal from the world to the modern Haez. -- BMSOUZA (talk) 00:41, 10 May 2019 (CEST)

  • I did not finish yet what I need to do in the Haez tramways, and looks like the ideas about Puerto Vakopu urban areas are clear in the map if someone wishes to continue it, but I am right now starting a personal project in Jawan. This city will "really" looks like an RW-arabic city, inspired in the way usually are the street grid and blocks in RW-cities like Riyad and Abu Dhabi. A perfect example in OGF I can mention is the mapping work in Pakuan city by okiazr, and Jawan is going to be a test - the focus is creating a big city following this mapping style in Port Damescu someday. -- BMSOUZA (talk) 16:11, 24 May 2019 (CEST)


This sounds like an interesting project. I can help if you like. One of my ideas is, perhaps modify the transliterated names of the places to a closer Spanish orthography. Ex. Hi, Brunanter. We will keep the names as they are, maybe change only a few ones - except if User:TheHolyEpicpenguin say to change. Albalad Siriun is not to be seen as a castellanese colony anytime in its history. The help that Albalad Siriun need right now is about mapping in some maghrebian style. What about "European quarters"; I can see a lot of towns with Castellanese (or other Ulethan) quarters, whereby the old town (kasbah/medina) is primarily home to the locals, and newer c. 19th-20th century) residential quarters away from the center to be home to foreigners. Still following as Gamen was (but now, with another name and other mappers), yes, Albalad Siriun is home to a lot of immigrants - not necessarily from "European Uletha", they also can be from Tarephian countries. But it does not means creating places with names in other languages. Names can always be developed later on, as well as the foreigners in the towns, but I see these foreign quarters are modern, wider streets, lots of green areas (where possible), gated housing communities. I know a friend whos father worked in Saudi Arabia in the oil area as a technician and they lived in a more modest house in a gated area, but wealthier people (diplomats, miltiary officers, politicians, businesspeople) might leave in bigger houses, even mansions. Interesting. Before you wrote, I as exactly thinking about UAE, where my father and a lot of job colleagues was some years ago. Anyway, these "foreigner quarters" are not away from the local mapping. Would you like to try something? Where? Haez, where I am editing right now, is the capital and main city. Port Vakopu maybe also be a good place, but we would need to re-create some area - I was planning to do it later. But I am open to your ideas. -- BMSOUZA (talk) 23:20, 29 April 2019 (CEST)
A port city is a good idea to start; Perhaps some larger houses inland in a gated communities with lots of trees, parks, better shops/stores for foreign shipping and port managers/supervisors/HQ, and perhaps another quarter with smaller, more basic houses and amenities for foreign dock workers, closer to the port. I am happy about your collaboration in southern Albalad Siriun, but I will need to change some of your edits. As Albalad Siriun is a strongly militarized country, not necessarily a strong democracy, military areas can not be under easy access, like that train station. Also, still because the military importance, their locations need to be discussed before creating. At least you kept the base, it is a smaller one for propeller planes and helicopters, but the train station was intended for supplying to the base, and not public access.
