Talk:International Red Shield Movement

From OpenGeofiction Encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

Any user is free to build their nation's Red Shield Headquarters and local offices and add their nation to the list of Red Shield Societies. The same applies to the blue nations and collaborative territories.

Hosts for the regional offices and circuits (as needed) will be decided by a general consensus of the community. If your nation wants to host a regional office or circuit office, add your nation to the appropriate candidate list below so the OGF community can discuss your nation's candidacy in the forum. Structure of the International Network of Red Shield Societies (INRSS)

The INRSS tentatively has three head regional offices serving Archanta, the Tarephias, and Uletha. Additional circuits will be headquartered where a greater presence or special assistance from the Red Shield is needed.

Archanta Regional Office

Archanta Circuits

Archanta Major and Gwynian

Tarephias Regional Office

Tarephia and Antarephia

Uletha Regional Office

Uletha Circuits

Uletha East

Uletha West

Which nations should host the regional offices? Voting and Results

All previous votes have been erased since I made updates to the ballot. If you voted already, you will need to vote again. Chazeltine (talk) 05:29, 8 May 2019 (CEST)

Last call for votes! If there are no new votes, this poll will close this weekend. Otherwise, this vote will close the second weekend following the week of the last vote sent. Chazeltine (talk) 05:19, 15 May 2019 (CEST)

What and Where to Build in Your Nation

Red Shield

  • National Headquarters (near your capital or other major center of government)
  • Local Offices (usually in the state/provincial capital, other metropolitan areas, and large military communities)
  • Blood Donation Centers (usually clustered in metropolitan areas)

This discussion is open to the community. What are your thoughts on the Red Shield's structure? Where should the Red Shield's international offices be located to best serve regions of humanitarian crises? Chazeltine (talk) 06:41, 10 September 2018 (CEST)

Since Tigeria is located in southern Tarephia, could it not also almost be a candidate for Antarephia North? By the way, I would also like to build a National HQ in Chavalenne (along with multiple other important buildings in my current project). --Thanks, Trombonist2003 (talk) 04:36, 18 September 2018 (CEST)
I appreciate the thought, but Tigeria already has the world headquarters, and I think that's enough for me haha. Someone else can take the regional headquarters. Also, once you map your national offices in Beaumontan, feel free to link it back to the main page. Chazeltine (talk) 05:37, 18 September 2018 (CEST)

A bit late in the process, but I have just noticed that no country had been proposed for hosting the head office for Antarephia. If still possible, I would like to propose Guai for this position. --Aiki (talk) 19:34, 7 May 2019 (CEST)

Okay, I added it to the list of candidates for the Tarephias. Chazeltine (talk) 05:03, 8 May 2019 (CEST)

I think it would be a good idea to have a regional host office located near or located in Commonia as Commonia would considerably benefit from this movement's work and aid. Thus I have added Commonia accordingly under the Archanta Major and Gwynian Circuit section as a possible candidate for a Red Shield Regional Office. --The_Cute_Chick (talk) 10:51, 11 September 2018 (CEST)

I don't think Commonia would be a good candidate for a regional office (admins have repeatedly said that Commonia will be changed at some point in the future), but maybe an office near Commonia might work. However, this would assume that whatever Commonia becomes will need additional assistance from the Red Cross, and that may not be the case in the future. I personally don't think Archanta needs to be divided into two for administrative purposes, and that one regional office for all of Archanta is sufficient. Chazeltine (talk) 17:42, 13 September 2018 (CEST)
Actually continuing on the idea of Commonia, what about a Red Shield camp or other base somewhere in Commonia (preferably not near Altaville as it doesn't really need it) to administer Humanitarian Aid for the time being. it may even be deemed as more realistic if it gets removed as that is the nature of Aid Camps. A wiki article on missions to former Commonia can be set up listing these camps. Of course, if the changes stated will basically make Commonia a lost country, then West Commonia or other underdeveloped areas in OGF may do as well.--Thanks, Trombonist2003 (talk) 03:59, 19 September 2018 (CEST)

If there are no other candidates for Uletha at this time, I would propose that Gobrassanya be the head office for the Uletha West Circuit. Chazeltine (talk) 06:45, 16 September 2018 (CEST)

If there are no other candidates for Uletha at this time, I would propose that Mauretia be the head office for Uletha. (Alessa has already asked me about this, and no one else from Uletha has volunteered.) Chazeltine (talk) 06:45, 16 September 2018 (CEST)

Tag offices into one relation?

Need to ask, will you consider using relations and using an automatic table, like Gigante, Verona Coffee and Gobeletplain? Probably one for national branches.--Happy mapping and God blesses you, ZK (talk) 07:43, 25 September 2019 (CEST)

How would that be more beneficial than simply linking to the Red Shield? It's not difficult to keep track of some twenty buildings. But it is more difficult to get the tags just right on the map for automatic tables; and I don't think the Red Shield is mapped extensively enough right now to consider gathering all the buildings into a single relation.
