Brittney Sandrea

Brittney is a 34 year old female. She was born in Freedemia, but spent most of her life abroad in various countries with different cultures. She lived a lot of her time before returning to Freedemia living in various parts of Commonia, and had always been interested in their government, or better stated, lack of one. She has also been a gardener for several years, trying to grow some of the most difficult to grow plants in the world in the various countries she visited- and with a sixty percent success rate!! She attended Quentins State International University and triple majored in communications, landscape architecture and government. Her dissertation was actually on how lesser tried systems of government (or in many cases, a lack of government) could actually work for peace if done properly. On the side she has done some research on unique and rare animals and plants as part of her gardening and horticulture hobbies. She has been known for her against the grain beliefs (such as support for organized anarchy, universal naturism, etc) and her adventurous spirit. She says she would be happy to give up her Freedemian citizenship if it means an adventure as big as being ambassador for Telkhug Ēkdŭn- the animals, the gardening, the adventure itself, and the ambassador job- according to Brittney, the job was practically made for her. She'd prefer to have the under-grower for world peace job, but believes her knowledge of different types of governments and communications skills would make her a good candidate for any of the positions being offered. --Ernestpcosby (talk) 20:01, 18 November 2015 (CET)

Many thanks for your response - TE will contact her in due course. If she is successful, we would hope that the people of Udenarrat would help her to achieve more than a 60% success rate in gardening! She is obviously a very open and honest person, which could be an advantage, some other candidates have applied through less direct channels ;). Could we ask a couple more difficult questions: Freedemia seems to be a very religious country, while Udenarrat is quite the opposite. How does she reconcile these facts? She says she supports 'universal naturism'; what does she mean by this? The anarchy in Udenarrat is 'functional' rather than 'organised' but she makes a perceptive point that 'organised anarchy' is closer to how TE itself actually works. Still, it might be difficult for her to fit into an organisation where many people value individualism over consensus. Perhaps, having lived in Freedemia, her experience of religion could help the organisation in some way; few people in the organisation have had this experience. Over the years Udenarrat has had trouble with missionaries from many different religions attempting to land on the island, in spite of Telkhug Ēkdŭn's attempts to stop them; Telkhug Ēkdŭn partly exists to prevent this. If she was open to it, there might be a position for her 'bridging the gap' between religion and non-religion, in an attempt to help prevent future 'incidents' where missionaries end up coming into conflict with the islanders. --Udilugbuldigu (talk) 21:23, 18 November 2015 (CET)

Well, as for the first question, perhaps so. While Freedemia is itself a very religious country, not every citizen is so, as it is understood to be a personal choice. Sandrea does not seem to be a normal Freedemian citizen. :P I'd imagine that her understanding of both sides would help there be less hostile confrontations, as she'd understand both sides, in contrast to two differing sides clashing.
As for the second question, "universal naturism" is about the same thing as saying "universally optional and accepted nudism". That's not really her saying everyone should have to participate as much as each individual having a choice to freely express themselves. Which is very much in line with the idea of individuality over consensus.
And as for the gardening thing :P She has had an almost 100% success rate with regular plants, just with the world's hardest to grow and rarest plants, success rates have been 60%- which compared to many others, is a high one. :P. --Ernestpcosby (talk) 21:46, 18 November 2015 (CET)

Following a gruelling selection process, the successful candidates have been informed individually of the panel's decision. All applications were of a high quality. We are happy to be able to offer roles to 3 outstanding candidates: Brittney Sandrea formerly of Freedemia, Nala Umalu, formerly residing in Gobrassanya and Asdrúbal Espejodepiedra, formerly of the Ardisphere. Other candidates will find less high profile but, we hope, equally significant roles within the organisation. Telkhug Ēkdŭn will always be willing to take on candidates of any background to strengthen the defence of Udenarrat and to stand up for people who follow different ways of life like those which continue on the island today.
