Current events template

I wanted to practice on coding skills on the OGF Wiki about making current events. But I cannot find the test page anywhere on here. I've seen Paxtar and others did the coding on the other templates, that had me thinking about making new current event templates like current wars, territorial disputes, countries declaring independence, etc., and the list goes on. How can I find a test page for my new template codes? BelpheniaProject (talk) 22:09, 15 May 2015 (CEST)

What "coding" do you mean? Infoboxes on the right side of the article? I just create a new template, like this one: http://opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/Template:Infobox_football and then test it on the page I want to use it. Just filling some of the fields then previewing how it looks and changing the infobox template if needed. So, only the template page is being changed. The article is only saved after completing all the fields of the template if it looks like I want already :) --Zniwek (talk) 22:19, 15 May 2015 (CEST)
I mean the current news event templates shown like the ones on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_event and the other templates in the Examples section: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Current
About the examples section of the Current Template... It is kinda complicated in my opinion. If you copy a template from Wiki to OGF Wiki it will not work (in many cases). It needs 1 or even 50 other templates/modules to work. We, users, can't import it automatically here so you will need to create every page manually... That's why I make my own templates, it's faster for me and I'm sure it will work. The "boxes" used there are located here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Ambox. It is another template of course and I doubt if it's easy to get it here :/ Probably you can achieve it like this:
Ambox currentevent.svg Title...
More text (date)
My own work, spend a lot of time on it :D I thought it will be much easier. But, I'm doing everything in the way I can - there can be some easier/better solution :)
It can be also done as Template, so you won't need to paste all the code but just fill the height, width, left color, image, text but is that needed? --Zniwek (talk) 00:22, 16 May 2015 (CEST)
I see, they can be done as Templates without wasting time. When I tried it by copying the templates directly from Wikipedia to OGF Wiki on the other month, it does not work. There is no need for me to make a new template while the one you showed me is already there. BelpheniaProject (talk) 01:03, 16 May 2015 (CEST)
It's just my own idea how to make an Ambox in different way. But maybe the "real" Ambox is made as I just invented it few hours ago :D The idea is just a table, modified to look like the one you wanted. Anyway, feel free to modify it and use as you want. --Zniwek (talk) 01:56, 16 May 2015 (CEST)
Okay, thanks! BelpheniaProject (talk) 02:06, 16 May 2015 (CEST)

Comments on Belphenia

Belphenia reminds me of a possible situation if North Korea ever wakes up from its Kim regime. A theocratic system under a Japanese-Buddhist-like regime? This is quite uncommon even in the real world. However, I wonder how could that dictator Sasuke Volkman live that long? (almost a hundred years). He could be 'one of the longest-serving dictators' in the whole wide world. I also wonder why the new theocratic government did not execute him for crimes against humanity though.--Happy mapping and may God bless you, ZK (talk) 12:43, 18 February 2018 (CET)
