Do you think that I could create a company in Freedemia? It would be a higher-end market chain (probably part of Maxi), selling organic, fairtrade etc foods. Brunanter (talk) 04:51, 10 January 2016 (CET)

Actually, that sounds good. While all my stores are supposed to be high quality I don't have any that specialize in organics and such. Any ideas for a name? --Ernestpcosby (talk) 04:53, 10 January 2016 (CET)
Marketfresh. I have the logo and a bit of background history. Brunanter (talk) 04:56, 10 January 2016 (CET)
Cool. Is there a wiki page I can look at? --Ernestpcosby (talk) 04:57, 10 January 2016 (CET)
It's based on one I made for another project: Brunanter (talk) 04:58, 10 January 2016 (CET)
Looks Good! --Ernestpcosby (talk) 05:00, 10 January 2016 (CET)
Here it is on the wiki: Marketfresh. Brunanter (talk) 05:20, 10 January 2016 (CET)

Hi, I have added a branch of All-n-One here [1] - it uses the vernacular name of Kaikka-Ühësa. --Sarepava (talk) 15:39, 18 October 2016 (CEST)

Hi, Sarepava! thanks for letting me know. :) I'll add a note to the wiki page for All-n-One. --Ernestpcosby (talk) 18:30, 18 October 2016 (CEST)
I may well add other branches in major Karolian settlements as I go on. But there is probably only a market for one per city at the moment.--Sarepava (talk) 01:41, 19 October 2016 (CEST)
All right. Thanks for letting me know. :) I look forward to seeing more as time goes on! --Ernestpcosby (talk) 01:42, 19 October 2016 (CEST)

Hi there Ernest! Do you have any tips for making an amazing city like Quentinsburgh? --Geoboi (talk) 22:56, 22 May 2017 (PST)

XD Thanks for the compliment, Geoboi. I guess the best advice I could give is learn your tools, be willing to take advice from other users who may be more experienced or just have good ideas or certain mapping skills, and to look at real cities and other well mapped cities for inspiration.
  • As for the tools part, I have to say JOSM is the superior tool for editing, and there are plenty of users who use it and could help you out with it. At the same time, all my mapping has been done using the browser editors, Potlatch 2 and iD. If you do choose to use them, each has its advantages and it helps to use them alongside as you learn that some features like multipolygons and parallel lines are easier in Potlatch 2 and other things like precision areas and small details might be easier in iD. No matter which editors you use, the one good thing to do is to learn how things render. Since you're essentially drawing for the render, you learn some things show up on top of other things and things like trees and grass add so much detail and realism.
  • As for the advice part, I know that the only reason I've gotten this far is that I've taken tips and advice (and sometimes even a little help) from other mappers on here. Sometimes criticism may sound harsh, but always be open to listening and improving based on suggestions.
  • Now, as for the looking at well mapped cities or real life cities- Open Street Map uses the same software to map real cities, and in pretty good detail. If you need to see what something looks like in real life in the same rendering style/map style as here in OGF, it greatly helps to find a real life example to see what you're trying to create. The same goes for really well mapped cities in OGF like Gobras City, Khaiwoon, Tarott, etc. You can look around, see how other areas have mapped certain things you're trying to map, get ideas, etc. The one thing is always inspiration, never duplication. :)
Hopefully these tips help a bit! They're what help me the most with my own mapping. Happy Mapping! --Ernestpcosby (talk) 08:19, 23 May 2017 (CEST)

Hi, Ernest! What about it??

QUARTA livery.png

I love it!!! Thank you! :D Great job! --Ernestpcosby (talk) 03:37, 19 October 2016 (CEST)

Quick question:

If the only language you speak is English, shouldn't you have en-N instead of 5?

I have no idea, I just put it on there based on what I saw on others' profiles --Ernestpcosby (talk) 06:10, 20 April 2019 (CEST)

Name of North Lake Glen

Don't you think that, over time, this name would change to Northlake Glen? IMO, it's more realistic and sounds better.

Talk to Rhiney boi 02:25, 18 June 2019 (CEST)

That was actually what I'd originally named it, oof boi (owner of neighboring Walkegan) had talked about splitting the name when we named the lake. Personally I prefer Northlake Glen as well --Ernestpcosby (talk) 02:45, 18 June 2019 (CEST)
Interesting. I wonder why.

FlySmart destination

Would like your opinion, but hoping to add Los Reyes as a new destination (from DIA, see here). Its not heavily developed yet, but would be a good northern destination. Brunanter (talk) 18:35, 22 September 2019 (CEST)

I think that would make sense. Does it have a WAAT template yet? The only reason I haven't added more northern destinations was there didn't seem to be many others with WAAT templates yet. --Ernestpcosby (talk) 21:34, 22 September 2019 (CEST)
Not sure if it does. Probably not, as it is a newer airport, but would be a logical next destination. Brunanter (talk) 23:48, 22 September 2019 (CEST)
