Wow, I just love the seal of Gobrassanya! LeFaune (talk) 11:04, 2 August 2014 (CEST)

Thanks! The outer ring is actually from the Emblem of Bangladesh, a public domain image. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:National_emblem_of_Bangladesh.svg --Isleño (talk) 23:19, 2 August 2014 (CEST)

Metro Latina

Hello, interesting ? Latina (Metro) --Histor (talk) 21:05, 2 August 2014 (CEST)

Wow, I'm impressed by the detail. Perhaps this article could use a photograph? How about this one: http://i.imgur.com/uQU6hvZ.png The original image is public domain (http://www.publicdomainpictures.net/view-image.php?image=4072), I just added the Latina logo from your earlier map. --Isleño (talk) 23:19, 2 August 2014 (CEST)
A very interessant photo. Do you know which town? Toronto? Unfortunatly I begun with white M and red field - see at Knotpoint Plaza Guell in some minutes. --Histor (talk) 23:46, 2 August 2014 (CEST)
It's Washington DC. Here's a version with white M and red field, if you like: http://i.imgur.com/3GHZI5h.png --Isleño (talk) 23:51, 2 August 2014 (CEST)

Wow! You work fast! So I will take it in the Latina Metro Wiki. Thanks. --Histor (talk) 00:12, 3 August 2014 (CEST)

Haha, it only takes 5 seconds to change the color. Glad you like it! --Isleño (talk) 00:13, 3 August 2014 (CEST)

Plase, Wizard ....

Hello Isleno, by "Latina (Metro)" in the topic "Trains" I now have a photo of an old Hamburg Metro-Car from 1912 (Type = "T"). The place for the target I made blanc. Is it able for you, to make around this place a line in not too broad in violett and can you write in it (in black) 3 - Almolaria - Times New Roman or similair? It is not exact horizontal - if it were, I had made myself. The copyright at the photo is by me. --Histor (talk) 16:34, 3 August 2014 (CEST)

No problem. Does this work? http://i.imgur.com/aSMr8SC.png
Remember, to make the images appear Wikipedia-style, use:
[[file:Filename.png|400px|thumb|right|Caption text here.]]
Feel free to look at some Wikipedia articles for guidance. Typically there's a mix of right-aligned and left-aligned images, maps may be slightly larger and photos are usually smaller. Let me know if you need help. --Isleño (talk) 20:36, 3 August 2014 (CEST)
Great! So I had imagened. Many thanks. With the linking of pictures - so as you write - I will try it afterwards. First I make the rest with "Latina (Metro)". --Histor (talk) 21:06, 3 August 2014 (CEST)

O.k. - I follow your suggestion. I think, so it looks better in Latina (Metro). Your photo of the fictionnal "A"-wagon has lonely class. --Histor (talk) 23:39, 3 August 2014 (CEST)

nice little thing ...

.. the Latina-flag-template. Looks good. Thanks. --Histor (talk) 00:51, 11 August 2014 (CEST)

Glad you like it, just created one for Zylanda too. --Isleño (talk) 00:55, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
I take it you're talking about that little flag icon you've added in the lists? So great, a really nice detail! --Demuth (talk) 08:17, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
Thanks! Makes it look a little bit more like Wikipedia, I think. --Isleño (talk) 08:20, 11 August 2014 (CEST)

Flags

The flags look very good! What do you think about putting them all in a category, to have an overview of all templates? KVh (talk) 11:43, 11 August 2014 (CEST)

Thanks! I haven't made a category before, but I will try. --Isleño (talk) 11:51, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
I can do it too if you want KVh (talk) 11:53, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
If you don't mind doing it, that would be great. I'll go in and look at what you did so I can learn how it's done...
All the flag templates should be listed under templates if that makes them easier to find. Let me know if I can help. --Isleño (talk) 11:57, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
They are now all in Category:Templates flags. KVh (talk) 12:10, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
Thanks, that was fast. I would never have figured out the <noinclude></noinclude> so it's good you did it. --Isleño (talk) 12:35, 11 August 2014 (CEST)

Please set to this category = zylandian, inenglish. Both are templets without link, only to show in which language is the following text --Histor (talk) 12:30, 11 August 2014 (CEST)

Hm, maybe language headers should be a separate template category, since they have a different use? --Isleño (talk) 12:35, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
I placed them in a subcategory of Category:Templates flags, namely Category:Templates language headers. But I think it is a strange use of placing two articles in different languages on one page. I think those templates should be used differently. Maybe more like wikipedia, so every language on a different page. KVh (talk) 12:40, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
I dunno, probably best to talk to the wiki admins? --Isleño (talk) 12:43, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
Wow - are you bureaucratic.  ;-) --Histor (talk) 12:47, 11 August 2014 (CEST)
Haha, well in the real Wikipedia this wouldn't be an issue because the different languages have their own wikis. But here there is only one wiki, so I'm not sure how different languages would be accommodated, especially when the article title may be the same in different languages. Since it would affect the whole OGF wiki, it might be good to ask the people running the show for their opinion. To tell the truth I actually kind of like seeing the two languages side by side, as you did in the Zyland See article. --Isleño (talk) 12:54, 11 August 2014 (CEST)

Your new geographic maps ...

... are looking good. And in american style. And your template as list of all countries I have stolen for Latina, Zylanda, Mecyna and the Jørpenilands.

Other: will you speak Indigen Latina? --Histor (talk) 12:32, 16 August 2014 (CEST)

Thanks Histor, glad you like the maps. They aren't easy to make, haha. Btw it looks like the country infobox is aligning all the maps to the right... is there any way to make them centered within the box? I tried but it seems that only admins can change the infobox template.
Indigen Latina looks fascinating and I like the complexity. I wish they had some unique writing systems but I know that would be a lot of work! Anyway I think it's great.
Glad you are using the countries navbox template. That's what it's for! --Isleño (talk) 21:27, 16 August 2014 (CEST)

Km2 of a land

My land Latina is roundabout (1/2 of 800*1200) + (800 * 600) + (1/2 of 1200 * 600), so I get with some roundings 1.180.000 km². I think, that that is realistic, because Germany (since 1989) is ca. 300.000 km² and is only 900 km * 500. If to work with JOSM-editor, is there a function for exacte mesurement? In Podlatch this is not. --Histor (talk) 01:12, 17 August 2014 (CEST)

Yes, JOSM has a function for exact measurement, but Latina is not a single object so I drew a rough shape over it to get an approximate measure:
  • Latina: 1,325,177 km2
And here are others that may interest you:
  • Tara: 25,793 km2
  • Mecyna: 146,286 km2
  • Zylanda (with Jørp.): 249,380 km2
    • Zylanda (mainland): 247,116 km2
    • Jørpenilands: 2264 km2
      • (Schaapiland: 1242 km2, Ossenisland 24.2 km2, Nolting 524.7 km2, Wesland 451.9 km2)
I noticed that some of the distance measurements in the Jørpenilands article could be improved also: Jørpenilands are 1900 km south of Khaiwoon, 3400 km from Rensenbrink in Zylanda and 4800 km from Porto Colon. --Isleño (talk) 01:51, 17 August 2014 (CEST)
O.k. - thanks for your work. I think, that to learn to work with JOSM must be one of my next activities. --Histor (talk) 09:33, 17 August 2014 (CEST)
I am glad to hear it.  :-) --Isleño (talk) 09:34, 17 August 2014 (CEST)
And I feel guilty asking, but like Histor I use Potlatch, and I'm waaaaay worse at geometry and math so I just basically guessed at Wiwaxia looking to be about 1/4 to 1/3 the size of Latina. Any chance it's easy for you to see what Wiwaxia is in square kilometres? Thanks muchly in advance --Demuth (talk) 16:14, 17 August 2014 (CEST)
No problem, actually your estimate was extremely good. In JOSM I'm getting 290,782 km2. You were off by only 3%! --Isleño (talk) 02:19, 18 August 2014 (CEST)
Ha ha ha! Can't believe my eyeballing-it slash finger-in-the-wind estimate was so close. I'm scaring myself here. Anyway, thanks a million! --Demuth (talk) 08:32, 18 August 2014 (CEST)
