Warohan (深灣特別市 Warohan tukubyesshi; IPA reading: /'wa:rohan/) is the second largest city of Izaland, located in the south-west part of Kubori island inside a deep dented entrance. From this position also comes the name, meaning "deep bay". With over 6 million inhabitants, increasing to about 10 millions to include the metro area, Warohan is an important international port, controlling the traffic within the Sound of Pa.

History

First settlements

The role as the Khaiwan capital

The area known as the today Warohan city, from AD 250 came to be called Ipseris. Until year 1654, Ipseris flourished as one of the strongest seaports of Southern Uletha, and trade with Yoyomryi (nowadays Yoyomi, in Kojo) and Wiwaxia helped to enrich the throne of the Khaiwan dinasty.

Recent history

Geography

Warohan is located in the innermost part of Warohan bay, and its formidable position protected the city from invasions and intruders. Especially during the Khaiwan period, the old Ipseris built many fortifications along the forked shapes of the coastline leading to the port from the open sea.

Today's Warohan territory is distributed on a 200 sq km peninsula separating Warohan Bay from the lagoon, located on the East. The historical city center of Warohan is located on Kokennaka Island, linked to the modern city by the old Kogyo Bridge and the more recent Irasone tunnel.
