Yury (English pronunciation:[jʊri]) (Yuren: Yureg [juʁeg]; Aostian: Yuré), officially the Kingdom of Yury (Yurean:Könnigerik Yureg [køn.nigeʁik juʁeg]; Aostian: Reiñu del Yure) is a federal parliamentary republic in the northwest of Taraphia. It borders TA026, TA021, Picard, TA019, Quaytana and Shijian. Yury is divided into 19 cantons, with Můrem as the seat of government. With 174 million people, it is the most populated nation in Tarephia.
Yury's name is derived from the Yurish tribe, a group that originally settled in the Yurean region. The name could also be derived from uriu (auroch; a domestic cattle now excinct which used to live in the area).
Yury has an area of 1,086,024.10 square kilometers (419,316.25 square miles), making it on of the largest countries on the planet. It located in the nortwestern section of Tarephia. The country stretches from latitudes 32 degrees to 15 degrees and from longitudes 15 to 23. It borders, in clockwise order from 9'o'clock, the Western Ocean, Farax, TA026, TA018, TA021, Picard, TA019, Quaytana, and Shijian.
Elevation ranges from the mountains of the Bulsas (highest point: the Zagtimeg at 4,793 metres or 15,726 feet) in the south to the shores of the Western Ocean in the north and the Yurean Sea in the east. The forested uplands of central Yury and the lowlands of northern Yury are traversed by such major rivers as the Kiul, Dun and Ulbem.
The Parliament of Yury (Orsaghâz) is located in Můrem, the country's capital. Yury became a federal, parliamentary, democratic republic through the Federal Constitution of 1916. The political system of the Kingdom with its nine states is based on the constitution of 1920 and 1929, which was reenacted on 1 May 1945.
The head of state is the monarch (yuralkodó), whose title is hereditary. With the introduction of the parliament system, the monarch is near ceremonial. Though, they can still suggest laws, but now parliament has the power to veto the bill.
The chairman of the Federal Government is the Federal Chancellor, who is appointed by the prime minister. The government can be removed from office by either a prime minister. decree or by vote of no confidence in the lower chamber of parliament, the Nationalrat. Voting for the federal president and for the Parliament used to be compulsory in Yury, but this was abolished in steps from 1982 to 2004.
The Parliament of Yury consists of two chambers. The composition of the Nemetzihas ("national house"; composed of 183 seats) is determined every six years (or whenever the Nemetzihashas been dissolved by the federal president on a motion by the federal chancellor, or by Nemetzihas itself) by a general election in which every citizen over 16 years (since 2007) has voting rights.

The Yurean Armed Forces are the military and paramilitary forces of Yury, under the king as supreme commander. They consist of the Yurean Army, French Navy, the Yurean Air Force, the Yurean Strategic Nuclear Force, and the Military Police called National Gendermine, which also fulfils civil police duties in the rural areas of Yury.
