The population of Bois-Unis is made of ethnic Alvedic Romandians, and a constantly increasing number of Neberlians, including a large part of them having secondary residences. There is a small minority of ethnic UL022c/Latanians, especially in the Transalpeine region. There are also small minorities from UL022h (Karamsk) in the south, and from UL023b (Eeland) too.

Bois-Unis (Federéchen di Bois-Unis in Boisunian Franquese) also known as United Woodlands or Forestia, is a landlocked country in northeastern Uletha. Its inhabitants are called the Boisunians (the citizens) or the Forestians.

Its national, administrative language is Franquese, but the spoken language is an isolated dialect similar to Romindian (east-Alvedic) Franquese, but mixed with many Ingerish words. There is an initiative to give value to the Franquese language, due to the extremely high pressure on the language by neighbouring Neberly and the relative distance to any other Franquese-speaking region except Romindia.

History

Bois-Unis is part of The Alvedic Countries. During the Alvedic Union it was known as Forestia or Northeast Romindia.

Geography

Non-steep, hilly terrain with fields and grasslands in the center, forests in the north, high mountains in the south. There is an isolated mountain range, the Snofell, in the center, rich in minerals and ores.

The summit of the country is in the Boisunian Sorokas (around 2500-3000 m) while the lowest point is on the shore of Lac Inférieur du Val-Salé, a salty lake at the bottom of a big depression in the north.

People and economy

Tourism is booming and is a significant part of the country's economy along with logging industry, wood-related works, and mining (Snofell region). All the current economic developments have ties with Neberlian cities like Senford or Binburg.

The capital is a "new city" constructed between the towns of Samigne and Laiccine in order to counter-balance the rapid development of the northwest and develop the center of the country and give it a proximity to the southern population.
