The culture of Eshein has its roots in both the old Ingerish culture and and Mergan culture and yet, it is very distinct from them both. The Eshen traditions and cultural habits began to form in the early 1700's, when it still was under the Ingrish mandate as the colony of New Colsex. The Eshen culture is mostly visible in its distinct language, its music, litrature and in the every-day lives in the kingdom of Eshein.
The Eshen society is know worldwide for its beliefs in equality, peace and unity. It is reflected in the kingdom's laws and policies and in the equality index of the AN. The strong sensation of unity can be seen in the relatively small separatism movements the federal kingdom has in it. These values are a fundamental principle of the kingdom and are leading the federal legislation: total gender equality anchored in the law, full rights for the LGBTQ community, three national languages and legislation protecting any kind of discrimination based of gender, sexuality, religion of ethnicity. The acceptance isn't just observable in the legislation, it is also in the everyday lives in the kingdom. For example, there were only three discrimination lawsuits in 2018.
The Rainbow Act
The "rainbow act" is a set of laws ensuring the equal rights the LGBTQ community has. It even included an official pride national flag. The act, that was singed by the president in 2002, includes five laws. The first law is concerning discrimination of people belong to the LGBTQ community in their work places, governmental institutes, providing and receiving business opportunities, deny any kind of care (especially heath related). The second law states that although marriage equality already existed since 1989, some institutes still didn't recognize it and determining that the 12th constitutional article applies to the marriage equality and no institute shall differ between same sex marriage to a opposite sex one. The third law is anchoring the rights of the transgender community and protecting the free will of a person to determine his/her gender identity from the age of sixteen. the fourth law forbids any kind of conversion treatments and forbids any institute (mostly religious) to promote any king of homophobic agenda. the fifth law talks about the MFE, how every Eshen citizen can serve, regardless of their sexual orientation, or gender identity, and stating that every transgender person who chooses to serve, MFE will help with his/her the medical expenses.
