ForumsFederal States → Federal States/Northeastern FSA Motorways

Hi!

With the Northeast becoming more full, some ideas for motorways in the region have been thrown around. I've tried to consolidate these proposals, as well as some of my own, into two proposals:

FS 64 helps serve Orterrado-Adamsville traffic, FS 15 terminates in AR120-27
FS 15 stretches all the way to Adamsville, new spur helps serve Orterrado-Adamsville traffic

Some notes:

  • Both proposals would have the Cumberland-Hazelboro route as a trunk-motorway combination, since it doesn't seem as important as some other routes in the region. We had a talk about this in regards to Eustacia a while back.
  • FS 15 started as a connection between Ponquin and Opelika that was combined with a previously proposed motorway between Adamsville and Tornburgh.
  • What is labeled as "X15" in the first proposal could be state level motorways, a spur or even something like FS 15E. I've left that up to JustSomeMapper.
  • Orterrado is a big city, and I believe FS 60 had been thought of being the East-West connection there for a while. Alessa noted that a new motorway helping connect Orterrado and Adamsville, routed through Concord and Orange Coast, would be more logical than FS 15 north of Pinehurst. This is the main reason there are two proposals.
  • It was suggested by TheMayor that FS 50 officially follow FS 1 to Anne Abbey as an unsigned route, with the current stretch in Opelika and -28 being labeled as FS 52 and being made to bend towards Huntington. I have also added a new segment of FS-2 upon his suggestion.

As always, I don't want to dictate things, just organize people's ideas and throw in some additional ones. Let me know if you have any thoughts. --Fluffr Nuttr (talk) 03:34, 21 February 2024 (UTC)

    • Hi, friends and neighbors! 4 FSA OrangeCoast.png Orange Coast owner here! Well, as my state is one of the smallest ones in all the country, FS-11 is enough to serve Orange Coast. Also, trying to be realistic, I am trying to decrease the number of "important" roads in my state.
    • Well, the FS-64 as proposed make no sense to me, because several things:
      • People coming from Concord-LN to Lundres-LN can do it via LN-1/ FS-60, they dont need to enter Orange Coast via Mid State Thruway (★OC-3) as a FS-64.
      • Still about it, my Mid State Thruway (★OC-3) doesn't even finish in San Bruno, so, it is not the best road to reach Lundres-LN.
      • And still, ★OC-3 runs almost parallel to LN-1/ FS-60 - each road in its own state.
    • This way, I think that for now, my opinion ends here, as I am currently talking only about my state, hehehe.
    • PS: Sorry any confusion about refs of my state roads, as I renamed the state from Elway to Orange Coast, so, some roads still was not changed from ★EY to ★OC, hehehe

That's cool! I just figured I'd see what the stateowners thought of that routing. We can work with the second sketch or figure out an alternative route for FS-64 (it'd be a north-south route, so a different number- probably 17 or 19). --Fluffr Nuttr (talk) 01:36, 26 February 2024 (UTC)

Maybe we could have FS-64 go down to Richardsport instead? I like the first plan but the part of FS-64 parallel to FS-60 seems redundant. Icefur2 (talk) 20:45, 25 February 2024 (UTC)

Maybe. Only thing is that I'd be worried about is overcrowding Opelika. For reference, I've been looking at JustSomeMapper's original sketch and the city populations they give here under "human geography". A local Cumberland-Montegoss connection might be more important than a connection between one of the smaller cities and Laine. Or maybe both can exist. Depends on what connections JustSomeMapper wants to prioritize. --Fluffr Nuttr (talk) 01:36, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
