| intro = the '''Sangria Islands''', officially the '''Republic of the Sangria Islands''' (Sangrìnensa: ''Ripubleca de las Ilas Sangrìanas'') and also known as '''the Sangrianas''', is a small sovereign island state in the center of the Sea of Mojaca. Culturally and geopolitically part of southwestern Uletha, the Sangria Islands are in closest proximity to {{Libérie Franque}} to the west, {{Alora}} to the east, and {{Onnutu}} to the south. The Sangria Islands consist entirely of the Sangrianan Archipelago, with three main islands. The largest and most populated island is Sahìa, dominated by the 3,000 meter Mount Tama, an extinct volcano. The second largest is Beciána, followed by Diadima. The country has a total land area of TBD with a population of approximately 260,020 inhabitants. The country's capital, Porta de Sangria (Sangrìnensa: ''Porta de Sangrìa'') shares its name with the archipelago. The Sangrianas is a semi-presidential unitary republic, headed by the President (Sangrìnensa: "TBD") of the Executive, alongside a Prime Minister (Sangrìnensa: "TBD") of the Legislature. The Sangria Islands is a member of the [[Association of South Ulethan Nations]] and the [[Assembly of Nations]].

The Sangrias have long been an important point for sea trade between Uletha and the world. In antiquity, the islands were named by early Mazanic and Castalleanese explorers after Saint Griana, the patron saint of respite. The first evidence of human settlement comes from the ruins of Mazanic trade posts on the western coast. Soon after, the Castalleanese claimed sovereignty over the islands, establishing it as a trading port of the empire. The islands' strategic position made it a highly sought-after territory for many Ulethan powers. Over the centuries, several struggles for power arose, mainly between Castallean, Franqueterre, Plevia, and Florescenta. For a brief period, the Franquese occupied the islands. Many immigrants and settlers came to the islands during these periods, seeking fortune and work from its trading economy. This resulted in a wide plethora of cultures and ethnic groups inhabiting the island. In the late 19th century, moves were made towards asserting independence from Castallen and other Ulethan powers. At the turn of the century, the islands effectively became self-governing, with Castallen formally relinquishing its claim in 1905.

In the present day, the island's position as an important trading port has greatly diminished due to technological advances in logistics and shipping. This resulted in a sharp decline in the country's economy in the 1950s, sparking a decade-long depression. In the late 1960s however, reforms were made to rebrand the country as a tourist destination, with extraordinary success. The island's warm subtropical climate and coast have made it one of the most popular summer destinations for southwestern Uletha. The country has also expanded on its services and fishing industry, alogn with tourism, being the largest sectors in the national economy.
