I love this idea! Are we able to back-date these? I'd love Dunwic to have won this around 2008. Myrcia (talk) 12:12, 21 October 2016 (CEST)

I agree! Would it be possible to include Salda to have won for 2011? Alessa (talk) 18:59, 22 October 2016 (CEST)

Changing the list

Cascande in Vhislands.png Niulutan-Riu was in this list. Why you change it and say no word to me? --Histor (talk) 21:59, 12 February 2017 (CET)

I haven't taken your entry completely out, it is still there if you click on edit. + I added it to the Nominations list, where I also wrote why your entry doesn't fit our new guidelines yet.--Stjur (talk) 22:03, 12 February 2017 (CET)
I do have small problem with what you have done. Okay it's fine that you've pointed out issues in cities hosting, but a) That was past events, and as such shouldn't be stipulated by current rules for nominations. The nominations is to make sure the best candidates win current and future events. But that can be discussed. b) I think you should lay out more basic guidelines as to what goes into a nomination. What level of detail are we looking for? Are we looking for mapped cultural areas, or near-complete cities? For the articles, how in depth does an article need to be? Just being able to answer these questions for anybody who looks at the event and wants to submit a nomination. c) Please can you give people a chance if you won't discount past-hosts from the rules for nominations, to sort out what is needed. d) Also I think it should be on an AND/OR merit. Make it so that if a nomination either has good mapping or a good wiki article, it's up for nomination. Thanks for reading this out --Aces California (talk) 22:44, 12 February 2017 (CET)
If you want or if you have better ideas how to manage the Ulethan Capital of Culture organization, you can headquarter this organization in Tierajas-Verdes, which means that you organize it all by yourself (which I intended anyway, to spread the UAC organizations over the UAC members). But I just want to say: past or present, it is a UAC organization, so UAC owns the rights on it. And by adding the name of your city to a table, you only nominate a city, you don't actually let it win. --Stjur (talk) 22:52, 12 February 2017 (CET)
I disagree with the thought that the UAC has over-all say. That is that only 1 person has over-all say. It needs to be a democracy which means that it needs to be fair. The members of UAC need their own say over their opinions. --Aces California (talk) 23:00, 12 February 2017 (CET)
That's why you can keep the democracy I tried to implement through the Nominations list, where everyone is welcome to write his own opinions about an entry or even add a new one. (You did know there actually was a nomination list, didn't you)--Stjur (talk) 23:03, 12 February 2017 (CET)
We can do pro's and con's for every entry if you want so, I actually had this idea before but I thought it might get a little too complex for the relatively small amount of people on this wiki. --Stjur (talk) 23:08, 12 February 2017 (CET)
That's fine then Stjur, the way you laid out the nominations list, it didn't give the impression that others were able to post their opinions. The way you wrote it all it looked like it was your opinion is the only opinion. --Aces California (talk) 23:13, 12 February 2017 (CET)
True, that certainly looks so, I'm going to change it right now. --Stjur (talk) 23:16, 12 February 2017 (CET)

@ Stjur: "Niulutan-Riu" is no member of UAC. Sure - nobody in the past was a formal member. If you change the rules, you must ask all. By the way = Cascande is more complete as 1000 other towns. --Histor (talk) 00:29, 13 February 2017 (CET)

Look, I'm sorry. But now you have the great opportunity to enter UAC, what do you say? --Stjur (talk) 00:33, 13 February 2017 (CET)
In a list yes - not in a template. If, then you can it. --Histor (talk) 00:37, 13 February 2017 (CET)
I don't really get what you're saying. By entering the UAC your country is being added on the list here and the template here --Stjur (talk) 00:42, 13 February 2017 (CET)
Ich kann auch Deutsch wenn es ihnen einfacher fällt auf Deutsch zu sprechen --Stjur (talk) 00:45, 13 February 2017 (CET)
At the page "Ulethan Alliance for Culture" I see no list to edit - only the template at the bottom of the side. If there is a list, I will add Niulutan-Tiu. But I (and I think some others) have no meaning, to edit in this templet. --Histor (talk) 01:33, 13 February 2017 (CET)
He use to have a list in the infobox, I expected him to make a table as part of the article before removing it. The template I presume is for stuff like nomination pages and national pages focused on the UAC. I'll get a table up and include Niulutan-Tiu on it. --Aces California (talk) 10:27, 13 February 2017 (CET)

If I may strongly suggest, contact the owners of the other cities and let them know directly that the nomination process is up in the air again. Given that these cities were set before there was a structure in place, it is only fair to at least notify them and ask them to join the UAC. This might be a bit of an olive branch to avoid what happened above. Next, I'd caution against sounding like you own the organization or the process. I don't think you're intending to be this way, but comments like the one on the user diary that the editing and development of the organization is your issue not anyone else's really rubs the wrong way. The unilateral removal (without warning) of nominations and being the sole voter right now adds to this perception. (I simply haven't had the time to jump in and vote yet.) Again, I don't think you're intending to project being in sole control. Optics just look poor right now. It happens; don't worry. I love that you're spearheading the project. A cultural union is a great idea and a wonderful way to showcase mapping projects. The additional competitions and showcases of the organization are great ideas! Given that I really want this to succeed, I just offer these words of caution and advice. Alessa (talk) 15:35, 13 February 2017 (CET)
