{{territory application history and culture}}

Prior to colonization, the lands of Collona were dominated by indigenous peoples. The largest nation, which was present on the coastline was the Koyunaj Peoples. Upon arrival, many colonists were met with violence of the Koyunaj peoples, though not everywhere. Small boats of colonists were able to establish a presence on the northern coast of present day Collona. The greeting of friendship as opposed to weapons meant that the populations in those areas were quicker to accept the new people. Koyunaj mythology told of a being that would come to the lands, taking away their way of life and killing their peoples. The response of the invasion prompted many to flee inland. Years of mixing in the population created a variety of peoples depending on the region. The majority language spoken is Spanish, though official languages include Spanish, English and 12 different indigenous languages. Tzataca, the capital city, was also a sacred city to the Koyunaj peoples. Many of the original buildings built post colonization used colonists ships wood as the walls. Mashaña point, near the town of Alexandria, has a major burial ground and legend says that some of the bricks were made from ground up bones of colonists.

* Hi, Dsilcott. Your patience is appreciated. We have had a changeover in leadership of West Uletha, so there has been a longer delay. I hope these links work and update as i continue to work.

Alternatively, I would consider a small territory in the FSA such as AR120-35, which is near where some of my work has been.

::Hello, Dsilcott. Looking at your application, and the mapping provided, I agree that it would suit the style in the FSA more than in Uletha. On the other hand, I think your mapping is not persuasive enough, and most of it look like a basic early-stage grid. I would highly suggest you practice more in the blue territories before requesting, and trying your hand at detailing and natural mapping. Would you consider continuing mapping in a blue territory, or as an alternative would you like to [[OpenGeofiction:Territory application#Beginner|request a beginner territory]]? To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.

I've mapped a few different spots in Tierra Nueva and in the Michisaukee state.
