Deodecan bison
Bison bison deodecanis
All of Deodeca but prefer flatter, wooded regions.
Historically hunted for fur and meat by Native Archantans.
Ingerish settlers did the same but due to declining numbers
Deodecan bisons were placed under environmental protection
in 1910. As a flagship species of Deodeca, they remain popular.
Urbanisation and deforestation push bison into more hostile and
unsuitable habitats, which is threatening their numbers.
