This is a list of monarchs of the Kingdom of Ingrea from 899 until the present day. The list traditionally starts with Oswald I of Colsex, whose rule represents the first unbroken line of kings to rule the whole of Ingrea. Previous attempts by kings to unite the various petty kingdoms date back to the eighth century, but none survived their death. Since unification, there have been over 30 monarchs of Ingrea.

House of Scandmark

Ingrea came under the control of Scandmark in 999 after an invasion led by Sigfred Whitehair. The last Ingerish king, Cedric II, was killed at the Battle of Netherton, and his son Oswald the Exile went into exile in Inara.

House of Colsex (restored)

In 1112, Eustace, great-grandson of Oswald the Exile, led a successful invasion of Ingrea, and wrested the kingdom back from the Scandians. He was proclaimed king in Winburgh on the 10 October.

House of Benton

This house descended from Geoffery, Earl of Benton, seized power from his cousin and brother-in-law Robert IV in 1296. The House of Benton is sometimes also known as the Northern Dynasty after their traditional power base at Benton Castle in the north of Ingrea.

Interregnum

Eleanor's death in 1636 triggered a succession crisis that rapidly spiralled into a war involving Ingrea, Schwaldia, and Florescenta - the so-called War of the Three Crowns.

House of Densburg

The War of the Three Crowns ended in 1653 with the Scwaldian Duke of Densburg, Earnest Frederick, being proclaimed king of Ingrea, in return for Florescentian independence from Schwaldia.

House of Gelland

In 1832, Queen Charlotte married Hugh FitzEustace, Earl of Gelland, an illegitimate descendent of Eustace V and one of his numerous mistresses. Arthur IV inaugurated a new royal house when he ascended in 1887, the descendants of whom form the modern Ingerish Royal Family.
