Cariocas Islands (Ilhas Cariocas, in florescentian) is an oceanic country in eastern Uletha`s islands belt. It consists in an archipelago with xx islands, being xx of them inhabited.

History

The country always was inhabited by indigenous people from the local eastern oceanic ulethan group, with their own language.

Since ancient times, there was commercial ties to Goytakanya, Suvuma, Lallemand an even Khaiwoon.

An important historic date was 1724, when the ship "Lone Star", coming from Campo Verde, reach Itacolomi bringing brasonian and lusladese refugees, escaping from Independence War in Gran-Luslandia.

Administrative divisions in Cariocas

Cariocas is divided in 6 provinces and 3 ultramarine territories. The provinces are divided into municipalities (cities or towns).

Each municipalitiy needs to keep a townhall, a police station, a bus terminal, a school, and at least one hospital. Fire stations, under a national law, are mandatory only in province capitals.

Culture

Language

Cariocas people is bilingual. The official language is the brasonian dialect of florescentian language, but all the people also speaks the indigenous local language.

Education

Each city or town in Cariocas, by law, needs to keep at least one school.

There are some few foreigner schools in Itacolomi, like the [ Skola Goytakano, in Itabi-ITB], Escola Brasonesa, in Itacolomi-ITC and [].

The national university is located in Mareante, Itacolomi-ITC. There are not provincial universities in the country.

Economy

The national economy always was based in fishing, agriculture, and (increasing) tourism. But since 1970, submarine oil reserves set PetroCar (headquarter in Itacolomi-ITC) as one of the most important companies in all Uletha continent.

The national bank is Banco Carioca (headquarter in Itacolomi-ITC), but also there is Banco Ultramar, [ (headquarter in Itacolomi-ITC)], a private bank keeping agencies in some island countries around.

Tourism

Cariocas is an important touristic destination in East Uletha. There are beach resorts in all islands, but tourists also enjoy visiting no-name-yet, no-name-yet and Monte Pirabaé, the three extict volcanos.

Railways

There was plans of a railways network from Itacolomi to Gragoatá, Paranabi and Piratiba, but it was considered so expensive, and the plans was aborted.

Anyway, since 2010 starts running a branch between Itacolomi-ITC and Gragoatá-GRG.

Currently, there is (no-name-yet-company), operating a single tramways route in Itacolomi, coming from the airport to the national government area.

Local Airports

Also there are small airfields in Pirabaé-PRB, Rocas-ITC, Itaúna-ITN and [ Itabi-ITB], but usually they got only daily flights to Itacolomi operated by AeroCarioca, the only airlines company in the country.

Ferries

Carioca TransMarítima is the only ferry company operating in Cariocas. It operates both cargo and passenger lines, in several routes in Cariocas.

There are also routes to Bhagurah, in Goytakanya.
